You are forgetting the person who sells the plants. Seemingly they all profit from some stage of the parasites life.
Taking Money, Selling CDs, Selling plants.
END SPOILERS
But yea, I'm really excited to watch it again and hopefully people will produce videos giving their interpretations of it similar to primer.
It's really staying with me today...

Yeah. I imagine it'll come on the mail within a week or so. This may be one of the quickest I've ever had that went from the mailbox to the DVD player. I've been wanting to see it since I first heard about it last year.

I think I watched it within 2 hours of finding out it was on netflix

I just watched it again. It's really cool during the second viewing. I understand a lot more. There are still things I'm confused about.
*Spoilers*
I got that they somehow used the music to trick/set up the pig farmer, but I'm not sure the mechanics behind it. What effect would the music have on the pig farmer?
Also, did the pig farmer just routinely throw a litter of piglets in the river, and that's how he continued the cycle, or did he simply through pigs in period? It seemed that he felt it was a problem that the two had gotten attached. Were the piglets too dangerous? as in they would somehow draw the two to his location?

I'm not sure it really tricked the pig farmer, it just somehow allowed them to become aware that he was in their mind and allowed them to track him down.

I'm guessing he threw all the piglets that were born from the "infected" pigs into the river. I'm not so sure that the music guy, the theif guy, and the flower girls knew of each others involvement in the different stages, it was kind of just part of the "life cycle".
I think he assumed the connection between "pig Jeff" and "pig Kris" would have some kind of impact on the real Jeff and Kris and he was right. Keeping the pigs alive could have caused more problems, but killing the pigs obviously ended up causing more problems because it shocked Kris and Jeff's current reality and caused things from their past to come to the surface enough that they figured out what happened to them.

Obviously Kris was at the pig farm the entire time(during the last sequence), but she somehow managed to get her image into Jeff's reality. I'm just confused about the mechanics.
eta: ok, I got it. She was there and the pig farmer's mind incorporated her into his peering vision. That would make sense.

I took it as the pig farmer was able to get into the consciousness of Jeff and Kris through the pig. At the end when the pig farmer was in one of their consciousness, they somehow made the pig farmer see it as just those 2 sitting in a room. Then Kris looks at the pig farmer and he realizes he is screwed and that she is actually at the farm ready to shoot him.
Who knows if that is right though.

Just started. Feel like live commenting while I watch and do some work. So spoilers.
- Grubs + soda is some powerful shite.
- those large knife wounds heal up nicely without proper sutures or medical attention
- The editing has just became a mindfrick.

all of his pigs are psychically linked to people in real life who have had the infection/worm due to his transferring it from human to pig.
so there is a kris pig and a jeff pig who frick and the kris pig gives birth. the sampler dude kills the offspring, I'm guessing, because he's not really a "farmer" so much as an observer of the pigs/humans. so if the pig has piglets, he'd have a bunch of piglets to take care of that aren't linked, and it would be more work for him.

Yes, but the piglets seemed to be carrying the toxin as it was released as their bodies decayed. I was just wondering how the cycle was continuing for as long as it did, and it had to for a bit for these people to have caught on to it.

I've only seen it once and my understanding of it is constantly evolving.

Watching now. Very bizarre but fascinating. She just woke up on the side of the road in her car. I'm not sure what to say or think at this point.

I read some people saw it that way. I believe him transferring the parasit to the pig let him see their pov by being close to their pig. He trapped people to make the transfer by playing the sounds into the ground drawing him to him. Just like worms are brought up to the soil by vibrations.
Wasn't into the movie. Won't watch again.
