Black Panther was good

No it wasn't. Superhero movies are only as good as their villains, and Killmonger was a joke (father killed by fellow black man, benefits from affirmative action, becomes king and wants... global race war?) The lead actor had zero charisma. His sister was flat out racist (white boy, colonizer, etc.) The CGI was from pre-2000 era. I could go on and on. Only brain damaged "diversity lovers" thought it was anything more than mediocre.

Killmonger was pretty entertaining. He’s not particularly important in the grand scheme of things, but many people found him compelling.

The only people who found Killmonger appealing were BLM subhuman trash.

Black Panther is quickly approaching Most Overrated Movie of All Time status, and this is coming from someone who actually enjoyed it and thought it was a solid Marvel entry. But for it to be considered one of the betting favorites for Best Picture is just insane to me.

Everything I've read, including from people on this board, is that Green Book is a really good movie.

Good, yes. But it would be the most mediocre Best Picture winner since The Artist or Crash.

Possibly, but I'd watch Green Book on cable if I came across it. I wouldn't do that for The Artist or Crash.

Green Book is the Odd Couple if Oscar was from the cast of Goodfellas and Felix was, well, Felix, but without any friends or social contacts. Throw in some Driving Miss Daisy and some social justice that is tempered with examples of good white people and bad black people and you have a message movie that leaves you entertained instead of down on life.

Mortensen and Ali are entertaining as hell to watch. They give great performances.

It's not a Best Picture in the sense of a Schindler's List or a Godfather, but it's in the same league with Driving Miss Daisy or A Beautiful Mind.

I thought Ready Player One was the best movie this year. Apparently I am alone on this one.

I love Oscar bait and usually try to watch all of the nominated films between November and February, but man this is a bad year. Nothing that interests me.

Totally agree. It seems like ive been waiting for that wave of 5 or 6 movies to come out at this time of year that I really want to go see. Its almost December and it hasn't happened, and it looks like Vice is the only one left that im interested in

Yes, you are. That movie was fricking terrible. It’s beyond redemption after the “Go in Reverse” scene, that people would have solved the first god damn race. Easily Spielberg’s worst film.

You're in this big of a tizzy over OddsShark? They are not movie experts. Literally none of the major blogs/awards watchers have black panther near the top of best picture. I think the highest I've seen is goldderby where its like 7th or 8th down the line.

You're creating drama where none exists.
