I think Luna is probably dying but not dead yet. I don't think Newlin is dead. Not sure though.

I don't mind Bill being not dead if Bill is going to be a badass villain. I just didn't care for him and Eric competing for Sookie.

I think Newlin might have died and Luna is about to die. There's only so many times she can shift into other humans before she dies like Tommy.

How is this any different than when Russell was around though? Now we have some creature hands down stronger than everyone else combined, Russell was the same? Russell was funny and twisted, but this one will from early indications is wild and blood thirsty.

Nora is alive, Newlin is alive, Luna has some bad shifter juju going on, but Tara actually isn't that bad. They paired her up with the best female actress on the show so that helped. Giving her less screentime and less boring drama has helped her character tremendously.
So here are the big storylines going into next season:
Obviously Bill is now possessed by a Mad God so he'll be the primary villain.
They still have Warlow out there somewhere doing something. Hopefully he can match the intensity and sheer entertainment that Russell brought to the show.
Alcide is now a packmaster so we have to see how that plays out.
Andy and the 4 fairy babies along with the fairies in general will be a big storyline too.
Other minor ones will be with Jason and Jessica. Is Jason going temporarily Anti-Vampire or is that permanent? Then you have the stuff with Luna being all screwed up. How are humans going to respond with all the shite that's come out and now with Bill being possessed by a Mad God? What's up with Pam and Tara? Brief les out moment or will be finally get to see some Ebony and Ivory action going on?
Damn strong season finale and I feel they have a good narrower focus for next year. Last season's finale they opened WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY too many doors and the first 3-4 episodes of this season suffered because of it. I mean honestly, what the hell was the point with the Terry-Patrick-Fire monster storyline? I'm just pretending that Lafayette took a hiatus for the first 7-8 episodes of this season.
But anyways, helluva season, I'd place it third overall behind Season 3 and Season 1.

What a finale!!!!
It was really surprising how they killed off russell like that. Good for Eric. I loved Russell's last words.
Jason has to be under the influence of something to be hallucinating about his parents.
Poory Andy. That was hilarious scene with her delivering and leaving four potentially bat shite crazy girls to raise like that.
I loled at how Sam killed that chancellor.

He's stronger, but still can be killed especially if he's not ready for a fight. Kind of like if I had a fight with whoever the UFC heavyweight champ is. If we go in the Octagon, I'm screwed. However, if they are high as a kite and staring at hot trim and I swoop in and stab them in the heart, then it doesn't matter how much kung-fu they know, my arse just won.
