Hunyadi is one of the most little known but important figures in Western civilization history. He had just as much of a role as Charles Martel in protecting Europe from the Muslim hordes trying to invade. His leadership was so instrumental that the pope at the time deemed him the Champion of Christ.

I wonder if this is something connected to the sequel of a surprise hit indie game set around the same time: KCD Wikipedia
The sequel, KCD 2, is just now coming out. Some games are getting government funding and support in Europe and it would not be surprising to see a TV network get involved too (the Witcher anyone?, how about world of warcraft movies?)

“For me, the whole historical story is just the backdrop,” she said. “I think we have a very complex and very human story of our heroes. It’s a family drama."
So a soap opera says one of the Directors, wrapped around battle scenes and bedroom hijinks.
“It’s 275 crew, 80 horses at 105-degree temperature in metal uniforms. It’s madness. It’s incredibly big, dusty, hot, exciting. It’s really a huge production.”
Been burned on these before.
