Top Gun: Maverick playing in Dolby this week

Love TGM, but they should have killed Maverick. Would have been a solid jumping off point for a new Rooster centered storyline in the sequels.

The fact that they’re making TG3 now and trilogies make for a complete story.. I’m good with the ending
I do agree it would mean more if he sacrificed himself in the next one, like TDKR if he hadn’t made it off the bat

my wife, son and I went and saw the original Top Gun last night at the movie theater. My son said he wanted to see it on the big screen. I was 12 when it first came out and brought back memories of the blockbuster summer movies.

As trailers go, using the "i've actually on done this twice" is one of the better unplanned winks to the audience.

Couldn’t disagree more. There doesn’t have to be some sacrifice every time to make a movie mean more. Plus I rewatch Maverick every few months or so. Would not be the case if he died.
