Yes indeed. Saddened me when he turned down doing The Wolverine.

I think he's the best of the group, honestly. He needs a marquee masterpiece, but give it time.

(Thank You for Smoking, Juno, Up in the Air, Young Adult)

2.) Martin McDonagh (In Bruges)

3.) Neill Blomkamp (District 9)

4.) Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Deed, Hot Fuzz, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World)

5.) I'm gonnna say it...Ben Affleck (The Town, Gone Baby Gone)

That list had the Superior Pariah Cinematic Stamp of Approval; a very prestigious award if you ask me

John Hillcoat (The Proposition, The Road)

Lawless is in my Top 5 most anticipated this year. As long as he keeps working with Nick Cave in some way he'll have a stellar career.

Andrew Dominik (Chopper, The Assassination of Jesse James BTCRF)

He has a nother of my most aniticpated with Killing Them Softly. AoJJ was an artistic masterpiece and Chopper was solid.

Steve McQueen (Hunger, Shame)

I saw shame and loved it. Haven't seen Hunger but I will soon enough. The cast in 12 Year a Slave look ridiculous and the source material is fantastic. Looking forward to that one

Nicolas Winding Refn (Bronson, Drive)

Nothing needs to be said about Refn. I hesitate to say he is even up-and-coming. In many ways, he has already arrived.

Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code)

I saw moon, thought it was good, not great.

Jeff Nichols (Shotgun Stories, Take Shelter)

Man, Take Shelter...what a movie. I have to see Shotgun Stories and I'm excited to see his upcoming movie "Mud"
