Seriously…how much is Gus paying this couple to use their home as his personal ‘safe house’.

gus the magdrigal overlords probably owned both houses from the start and the couple is also madrigal umbrella employee. just like the security force and some of the pollo locos employees.

Rewatching the Mike Kim scene, Jonathan Banks is obviously older than what he would have been in the shows timeline, but the writers use that as a cue for Kim to see him as the man who was in the desert with Jimmy. To see the younger Mike as weathered and aged.

A pretty ingenious use of time manipulation.

Yeah, I think the couple is staff. I would have to see the episode again but when Gus first arrived on their side, they were discussing a puzzle and how they couldn't find some of the pieces but the table they were sitting at was empty.

The boring married couple banter is just another cover.

Got a chuckle out of Gus wanting one of Mike's guys replaced as his in store bodyguard because his fast food cooking wasn't up to Los Pollos Hermanos standards.

quote:

Gus: You told me the man you placed in my kitchen was an experienced short order cook.

Mike: Yeah...two years at McDonald's when he was in college

Decent episode, but pales in comparison to last week's. It's just the cartel stuff is far more interesting to me than this Howard storyline.

Same.

I'm assuming we get more Lalo next week.

Correct.

I decided not to post at all in this thread until the episode was over. I wanted to see your interpretations. They are completely crazy.

As usual most folks have know clue how to read the hints of this show.

Kim to Wendy: (paraphrasing) "if you ever need representation give me a call, no charge. Wendy is not paying for Saul in BB, she is a Kim case. They just hinted that Kim is involved with another BB character.

Mike clearly has much more respect for Kim than he does for Saul. Now she and Mike are in contact, and some of you think Kim got disqualified from BB tonight?

She just went from 25% to 50% of team Heisenberg.

One of the things that was most interesting was that Gus is really paranoid about Lalo.

He's legit rattled. First time we've seen that which makes me think Lalo is for sure dead by BB.

I think Spooge is the guy who got crushed by the ATM in BB.

Wendy didn't look too bad either before meth destroyed her teeth.

Kim is the bad guy with the Howard. and now Cliff, thing.

She's going down.

As seen in the BB/BCS universe, all the bad people lose.

The first hint was Gus breaking the glass that Nacho used to stab Bosa. Gus's paranoia is causing him to make more and more mistakes, but we know in BB Mike has intense respect for Gus.

At this point in BCS, Mike is just doing his job. Remember, in BB Gus says "I don't believe fear to be an effective motivator", yet we've already heard Mike say that exact quote to Gus in BCS.

We are seeing Gus at a juncture, there will be a critical moment where he turns into the Gus we knew in BB, and I believe in some way Kim will be part of that pivot point.

All of the characters in the BB universe have had slow transformations of their character arcs. I suspect Gus will subvert those expectations and have an immediate change to his character, completely unlike we have ever seen either BB or BCS.

As for those saying these episodes are weak and jerking off to Lalo posters, this aint the MC Universe, it is for adults, grow the frick up. If you have no appreciation for brilliant writing and story telling, this aint the show for you.

I hope the reason Mike respects him so much in BB is because Gus actually kept his word in regards to Nacho's dad.

Nope, Howard has a hard-on for Jimmy now. He won't get Kim without also getting Jimmy/Saul, but Saul's still going in BB, so he won't be Kim's downfall.

Kim is no part of “Saul.”

I guess you missed Carrot and Stick where she's basically sculpting Saul. Suggesting a fancy car and a cathedral of justice. She also went way harder on the Kettlemans than Jimmy/Saul was comfortable with.

I had a dream last week where I was watching a BCS episode, and in it Mike kills Lalo while Lalo is trying to kill Nacho's dad. I think it was my brain trying to deal with my grief for Nacho.

Nah, it's Jimmy/Saul

We've already seen Howard invite him into the ring on the previews. We know where his anger is directed.

Those scales of justice in Saul's office belong to Kim, they're in her apartment.

Who is the girl that's using them as an ashtray in the Better Call Saul intro?
