love Randall. Him tripping balls had me laughing

That was a great plot idea and way to get the dad character back. Guess they can do it again in dream sequence or something.

I am not really happy with the Mandy Moore singing thing. I see it going that direction but it is too easy and cheesy. And the jazzy style she was singing? In the early 80's? Who was doing that? I was 7 in 1980 so not much on the bar scene then. Someone would have to fill me in if women were trying the Norah Jones thing IRL at about the time she was being born?

There's no doubt that this is the Randall Show, and everybody else is along for the ride. I love his and Beth's relationship. Kevin is great as comic relief and occasional philosopher.

I'm so glad they took this most recent episode to give an opportunity to spotlight Kate's struggles with her weight. That's been totally ignored to this point, and it's about time they focus on it.

Randall tripping out on the porch was cracking us up.

I just want to know what the hell the mom was locking up the cabin for and, what seemed to be, someone pounding on the cellar door trying to get out. Did the dad become a raging alcoholic?

I think it was to show that Rebecca, in spite of being rock solid holding her family together (despite the secret of having met William) suffered in her own way. My take was that it was crippling anxiety or something similar.

Unless I'm unaware of some pre airing creation origin, it's on NBC not ABC.

This show has 1000% filled the void that Parenthood left. Hits everyone in all the feels.

I really wonder how many more episodes they can go without giving the reason for the dad's death. They can't keep bringing old Miguel in scenes without it coming up (organically as it would in real life).

I'm confused as to how the brothers seem to have had such a rift between then since HS yet Kevin can just show up at Randall's & stay over.

Because Kevin is immature and probably a narcissist. Randall tolerates it because he wants Kevin to accept him. Remember, Kevin has always treated Randall like shite.

For some reason my wife decided to start chopping onions in bed while we watched.

Yeah I really hope Kevin's character grows, because I kinda hate him sometimes.
He has gotten a little better I guess.

It was a metaphor. She was trying to protect the family and not let her own demons out or in.

I love this show. My favorite in network tv. I think I have cried at every episode except 1.
