That it was actually made?
Bingo.
I understand what demographic this show was made for, but my goodness is it cringe worthy with extra cringe. Definitely a case where they should have left well enough alone.

I watch it with kids, actually the Disney Channel has some decent sitcoms.
Reminds me of stuff the networks had in the late 80's.

My kids aren't old enough for it yet, but I'm pretty sure I'm not going to steer them towards Disney channel sitcoms.

meh, there hasn't been a Disney channel show... EVER that I didn't think was fricking stupid based on the first few episodes or at least the series premier promo.

I tried to watched this with a few of my friends who use to love the show as well and we turned it off about 5 minutes in. Really wish they would have just kept the same cast and continues that show because this was no bueno.

I was just channel surfing and I landed on the middle of the pilot. It had a very bizarre feel. Something wasn't right.

That would be no bueno unless you've got a serious nostalgia fetish.

Smart move. Raise them with older cartoons like G.I. Joe, 80s Transformers, Scooby Doo, Animaniacs, Loony Toons, Veggie Tales, Muppet Babies, ect. The Disney Channel has a couple cartoons that aren't bad in "Phineas & Ferb" and "Gravity Falls".
If you haven't heard of the latter, give it a watch. It has lots of adult humor, horror/scifi movie references, fully fleshed out characters, actual plots, and real cliff hangers. I probably would have thought it was the greatest show ever when I was 12.
As for the OP, I wanted to strangle that "Farkle" kid. Him, and Corey's daughter's terrible acting, and her friend's over the top performance are what made it awkward.

they will pick it up anyway. the girls can't watch spongebob, their mother hates that show and forbade it. My nephew comes over and that's his favorite show so they get to watch it.
I think the Disney stuff isn't that bad.
You aren't going to get your kids to only watch PBS and nick Jr for ever.

Yeah, there's this word called "no" in my house, and my kids know it very well.

My tv stays on Disney. My daughter loves Gravity Falls, Dog with a Blog, Jessie and Good Luck Charlie(best show on there). They canceled GLCharlie but still show it often. I can't say I only watch because of her, because I actually enjoy some of those episodes.
Girl Meets World was awkward for me, but I think I'll keep watching. Farkle was definitely the worst part of the show. I hope they don't try too hard to follow BMW storylines. I'd like to see some of those same things, but overall, I want a "new" show.

Easily the best sitcom. The parents are hilarious and the baby has great one-liners. It's surprisingly well written for the Disney Channel. Too bad the show is ending.
I'm looking forward to seeing China Ann McClain in more stuff. "Ant Farm" sucked, but she is super talented musically. She was incredible on "Sing Your Face Off". Look her up as Michael Jackson and James Brown, then watch her as Whitney Houston. Brilliant. If she stays off of drugs, she could develop into Disney's next mega-pop star in a few years.

one thing that confused me.... is Mr. Feeney dead? He had like a ghost cameo.

I checked it out for nostalgic reasons. I thought this thread was going to be about the fact that a teacher could afford a place that is metro accessible in in New York.

I think it was just a figment of his imagination. I don't think Feeny is dead in the show. Or at least I hope not.
