I thought half of them were good and the other half were bad. I did enjoy the season though.

I'm probably in the minority, but I prefer the "Monster of the Week" episodes.

I don't want a Mulder/Scully relationship. I don't want a season or series long story arc.

I mean sure, you can have your recurring characters/bad guys but you don't need to give them motive. The Monster of the week episodes were fun.

I loved episodes 2-5, didn't care for first and last episodes. Talking about season 10 of course.

I bet this season will be on par with season 10 which isn't a bad thing. Probably won't care for tonight's episode too much but I'll watch.

for whatever reason there's a huge disparity in quality between original runs and renewals when it comes to science fiction

twilight zone

With Twilight Zone you're talking about a reboot that took place twenty years after the original run. They pulled in some of the original writers and actually reshot some of the original episodes, but they didn't have Serling steering the ship.

The TZ series that came after the '85 series was watered down to almost nothing.

CYE was $$ this season. If X-Files pulls that off I'll be happy.

Well, you're in luck. The 1st and last episodes are the "story" ones. The rest are monster of the week variety.

Something about this season pissed Gillian off. She's said multiple times she is done with The X-Files

Smoking man's name Carl Gerhard Busch and he did dirty work for all the Republican presidents. X-Files is going full on anti Trump retardation this season.
