Th 1980s and 90s were the only time that conservatives could have passed laws to try to undo all the subversion (they could have chipped away at the media's abilities to slant stories the same way the leftists have chipped away at the 2nd Ammendment) but they never had the balls nor the foresight to do it. And it just festered and has know blown up in their faces. They also could have curbed big tech's influence in the 00s but also never did that either

1st amendment, dude.

I hate woke culture more than anyone, but you don't "pass laws ... to chip away at the media's abilities to slant stories"....dumbass.

A number of critics have taken notice of the series’ whiteness as well: Salon culture senior editor Hanh Nguyen, who has been critical of the series in the past, told The Times that “the only main character of color who has any sort of interiority is Miguel.” “Danny LaRusso, Italian kid from Jersey,” as Vanity Fair’s Sonia Saraiya put it about the first two seasons, “is the most Japanese character on this show.”

So we have LaRusso and Johnny who were always white...they are reprising roles from 30 years ago.

The main kid is hispanic, along with his mom who plays a role. 2 of the kids in the karate dojos are black/asian. One of the main villians going forward is Asian...wtf do they want?

An all black/lesbian show that no one would watch...except for black lesbians.

Sounds like this LA Times writer wanted some clickbait and got what he wanted.

It all goes back to the "main" cast's older actors coming from the original movie. I am absolutely certain that if he were alive and able, they would have been insanely onboard to bring back Pat Morita.

The kids are pretty diverse, and if we're honest - the worst people (from an attitude standpoint) in the show (Kreese and Hawk) are white males, and if you cast Hawk as another race you'd get a lot of blowback.

I think I would like to see Chozen a bit more, if possible, in Season 4.
