In some Sandler movie universe, Lovitz character is the same sleaze ball that starts off in the tree in Little Nicky and goes to hell.
The tree guy is based off The Peeper, which was a skit on one of Sandler's comedy albums. I'd argue that his albums are more underrated than his movies.

First half is better than the second half.
The Goldbergs did a Wedding Singer crossover episode last week, inserted a bunch of movie footage and even brought back Jon Lovitz. Worked in a funnier way than I thought it would. Believe it's a Happy Madison co-production.

It's my favorite Sandler movie.

The Wedding Singer is underrated
I hated Wedding Singer when it first came out because I wanted another Happy Gilmore or Billy Madison and we got a more subtle comedy. Now days I laugh at Wedding Singer more than any of Sandler's other movies. There is so much understated humor everywhere in this movie.

Gulia? Her names going to be Julia Gulia?
Also, Christine Taylor is an 11 in that movie.
Glenn was perfectly cast, named, written, and acted as a prototypical 80s douche.
Who did Robbie kiss?
Me.
Oh.... Well who hasn't?

The lovitz scene is epic.
I use the reaping the benefits line frequently, but unfortunately not usually by a curtain.

I love the wedding singer. Watched again the other day when the Goldbergs had their wedding singer episode.
I find that period pieces have a lot of staying power because if you made them today they’d still be fairly similar because whatever period you are going back to never changes.

Easily one of the better Sandler films.
