Yeah, I think it sucks that people were all "I didn't need to read the book to understand the movie, and I thought the movie sucked"

I mean, if that's your opinion, then fine I guess, but it's pretty dismissive knowing that the book is in Time's top 100

I didn't read the book, but I thought the movie was great.

It was visually cool and I thought it was well done, a different take on the super hero movie

I liked how basic the super heroes were besides Doctor Manhattan and the beginning montage with all the events from history while Dylan was playing was awesome

I liked it a lot. Saw it in an IMAX, so the audio/visuals were further heightened.

Same here.

Yeah, they are just normal people dressing up in tights. The movie makes it seem like there have a little bit of special powers since they are throwing and kicking people 20 to 30 feet and being thrown through walls, etc... but they are just normal individuals (minus ozymadius who is the smartest and most athletic person) who train a hell of a lot.

They talk about the first generation of heroes wanting to hang it up because there is a 'real' superhero. That's why the first Night owl,Hollis, retires in the book.

I'm sure if I had read the book it would have been beter. I also agree that it should have been about 20 to 30 minutes shorter.
