Gotta get in my weekly plug for a well drilled group of fighters using tight formations, whatever body armor they can find and weapons like pikes and long swords to go out and take out the zombies milling around the fence. Should be a pretty do-able proposition with the number of zombies they are dealing with as of this time.

Yeah I've always thought raiding a museum or the local Renaissance fair would be the best idea. Deck everyone out in chain/plate mail and arm them with pikes and halberds. Need a few swords for close up fighting, too. A walker isn't going to be able to bite through that. Granted you couldn't fight very long given the weight and heat (depending on the season) but even if you fell over they still can't bite through steel.

Yeah. If the Greeks and the Romans could kick arse against foes like the Persians and barbarians, I think a well coordinated group could take out small groups of walkers.

To be fair a human even a super walker isn't going to bite through chaps or a carhartt jacket either. While armor is cool just simple thick clothes should be enough.

Another piece of "armor" I have considered essential to myself would be a paintball mask. Why a paintball mask? Because I wear glasses and if I pull off say Rick with the pigs or Rick with the axe in the tombs last season I would likely break my glasses. In the ZA there is no lenscrafters and without glasses I can't even read this typeface while sitting at the computer.

Anybody notice Tyresse had a swollen left eye in next week's preview? What's that all about?

I remember he had one the same time he got out the black charger and was fighting off the the group of zombies in the season preview.

Its not a spoiler because it is in the promos but its seen that he and rick get into a fight next episode. Rick gets a broken hand and Tyreese gets his black eye.

Hmmm...burning his girl must have really gotten to his head. I'll assume he doesn't trust anyone now except his sister.

He wanted that lovin' bad. Heck, he was even bringing flowers to her even though she was quarantined with a killer virus.

Season 2 has to rank among the worst on TV.

Certainly not the best effort I've ever seen but it's far from being among the worst.

It would be even better if they spoke with an English accent.

Hah. That would be cool. But I don't think medieval armor and weapons were limited to England.

Really, there are so many ways they could wipe out huge numbers of Walkers. Heck, if there are any military people left they could use tanks, helicopters, cluster bombs, etc. etc.

But I don't guess that would be too interesting of a show so I don't really have a problem they way they present it.

Yeah. But the last military unit they showed were so competent they let the Governors goons get the jump on them (and if there are any upcoming ones not yet shown, I don't want to know about them )

I think those guys were just national guardsmen and not really career soldiers so they were a bit derpy. It would be interesting if they explored what was left of the army/government/authorities but I don't think they'll ever get around to that.

Darabont had planned to originally before they cut the budget between season 1 and season 2. His original season 2 premeire would follow the Tank Walker Rick got the Beretta off of. It would have been basically Black Hawk Down but set in urban Atlanta at night. It would have been almost a war movie flashback showing how he ended up in the tank in the first place despite wearing a Marine uniform.

So are we to take the final scene as they killed the infected and burned them or the infected died and then were burned?
