I'm enjoying the show. Last night was definitely the worst of the Battle Rounds so far. At least I agreed with 3 of the 4 judge picks (I also thought the last girl should have one over the cute sisters).

Same here. The show is different and I like the judges so far.

I agree with much of what's been said thus far...
WTF, Blake!?! - I can see Blake's reasoning for picking "Can't Hurry Love" as it's between the energy level and vocal differences of Dia and barefoot-preacher's-daughter. Sometimes when you put disparate singers together, they find a way to synch their styles. This was one of those "it's going to be wildly successful or crash and burn" sort of things. Sadly, the latter happened. Each was like an island unto themselves saying "frick you, I'm not changing". Mix that in with the lackluster version the band was playing and you have a performance that even that purposely-hyped-up audience couldn't get into.
Barefoot chick completely oversang, which was exactly what Blake warned her against. Dia stretched a little, but not nearly as much as I think Blake and Reba were hoping she would. I think she deserved the win but then again I find the whole wholesome thing pretty hot
Creep - I'm always impressed when an artist can tackle something they have never tried before. Skinny-doctor-to-be didn't know the song and he was able to hang with fat-chick. That impressed me. BUUUUUUT.... his voice is barely above mediocre. Also, while he sang the song, fat-chick was living it on the stage (he voice inflections, her facial expressions). She really should have been the winner of that one. Bad choice, Adam. Bad choice.
Little Mama - I agree completely with Christina's pick and her critiques on this one.
Why! Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!! I can see the point of an earlier poster that mentioned why Cee-Lo might have picked the sisters in order to draw the Tweeny vote, but in doing so he completely screwed himself over as the sisters don't seem to have nearly the potential the other gal does. Hot-Disney-chick not only took that song by the balls and ran with it during her solos, but she then put it down on the ground, raped it, then stole $50 from its wallet for cab fare home. She owned that song. The sisters were good, but even the two of them together weren't as good as their opponent. #whatashame

Agreed about the twins. Can definitely see the disney girl having a better long term career than the them.
