I rewatched The Corruptor for the first time in probably 20 years last weekend. I didn't realize 20 years ago how over the top it was. Every scene with Chow Yun-Fat was great but every time he's not there it's rough.
I wish more of his movies were easily available. The Killer, Hard Boiled, A Better Tomorrow, City on Fire. I think only the first A Better Tomorrow is available to purchase digitally via Apple. I bought physical copies of The Killer and Hard Boiled A few years ago.

I think this was Chow Yun Fat's first big American movie. I saw this in the theater because I had already seen The Killer and Hard Boiled before. Its too bad no American director could do anything nearly as good with him as his Hong Kong movies.

Replacement Killers and The Corrupter are great movies.

I agree with everything you posted.
Some great fight scenes with choreographed music put together by Antoine Fuqua. Every scene has a great buildup.
ETA:
The scene's with this guy were funny. Clifton Collins Jr. playing Loco per IMDb
