Not going to read through the thread to avoid potential spoilers on the finale but the whole bit in episode 5 about him not getting why autistic people relate to him so much was absolutely hilarious.
Fielder kind of falls into the same category for me as Bo Burnham in that they’re so creative in their projects that it’s impossible to not appreciate the depth of the work even if it’s not your thing.

Season finale is one of the more insane and brilliant hours of TV I’ve seen in a long time. Really impressive he’s able to pull all that off let alone craft a tv show narrative out of it.

Should I watch Nathan for You before watching the rehearsal?

There’s no need to. But you should watch Nathan for You, either before or after the Rehearsal.
The pro of watching Nathan for You beforehand is that you can get an idea of how he thinks and works, so you can get used to it.
The con to watching it afterward is that the Rehearsal is waaay more high-concept, so some of the Nathan for You projects might seem a little smaller-scale and less epic than they really are.
Everyone has a favorite NFY segment, but I think my favorite is the one when Nathan constructs an elaborate story in real life so he won’t have to lie about it on a talk show. The lengths of deception that he goes to just to seem authentic is as meta as it gets.
