What say ye, Leo fans? I find it s directorial feats too often miss the "stylish" mark and land on "cheesy" - and it's nearly as cliche driven as Tombstone - yet I find myself watching every time it's on (which is quite often). Great cast, featuring some of Leo and Rusell Crowe's earliest work, along with Gene Hackman and Sharon Stone.

Gene Hackman is a forgotten legend.

He was in so many great movies. Just a great actor.

He was good in Unforgiven too.

You are right though. It's a really good movie, but I thought Hackman stole the show. He could be such a prick in movies.

Love Hackman in this. Stone is fricking terrible.

This movie turned out a lot better than it should have been.

Yeah Hackman is great in everything he does. One of my all time favorites. And this is the worst job I've ever seen from Stone.

Absolutely a guilty pleasure of mine.

It's awesome and stupid and cheesy and cliche and fun all at the same time.

One of the funniest parts about the movie to me is that Sharon Stone and every scene she's in could be taken out the movie and nothing would change.

I loved this movie when I was like 10. It didn't hold up based on the last time I tried to watch it a few years ago. It's kind of fun in a crappy way, but I really don't think it's good. It's super cheesy and a conglomeration of western clichés. Watchable but low quality is my verdict.

Good enough to watch but another victim of 90s cheesy and overdoneness.

I guess I'd call it a guilty pleasure movie. It has cheesiness to it though. Such as when Gene can see the hole of daylight in his shadow, or how he cut a flip when shot. Stuff like that aggravates me in movies.

I liked it for a long time before I found out it was a Sam Raimi movie. After discovering that and watching again you can definitely see his distinctive style throughout. I'm a big Raimi fan so this made it better for me
