OK, I just passed some time watching the end of the postman on cable.

I will say again I actaully liked the movie. I have seen far worse movies in my time.

I remember this movie got some grief when it came out, but honestly taken by itself, I thought it was a pretty decent movie.

So now that one forgets the hype or anything around the movie and hopefully you can look at the movie on its own merits, what do you say?

Cool, or not cool?

Thought it was a better version of Waterworld. Similar movies (besides the obvious, one is on water and one isn't) with similar plots, postman had more interesting characters and situations.

I liked it more than Waterworld. It was kind of neat watching how civilization evolved again into a regional/nation-wide community as opposed to individual self-serving townships. (But yes, the statue at the end was pretty cheesy!)

I thought it was just okay. But a friend of mine hyped me up on it and let me borrow it one night, so that may be why. It was decent, but definitely nothing special. And it was long, slow, and boring for the most part.

I actually like Waterworld a lot.
