Nah man, it is a terrible movie
This is such a flaw among people who watch movies. This isn’t how you should look at it. Film is fricking subjective so try not to go around giving absolutes about whether a film is good or bad. That’s not for you to say. It’s simply whether it worked for you or not. Hell, some people might think 1917 is a bad movie, which I have seen on here, but that doesn’t make it a bad movie. It also doesn’t make it a good movie either. That’s up to the individual. It’s very very rare for a movie to be universally hated and be considered an outright bad movie just as it’s very very rare for a movie to be universally loved and be claimed as a good movie. There are people in the world that honestly think Saving Private Ryan sucks. Doesn’t mean they’re right or wrong. You might think they’re wrong but they might think they’re right. Again, it’s subjective. Film is art and every single piece of art is subjective. Stating that a movie is bad as an outright fact just simply isn’t true.
Objectively, The Phantom Menace is heavily flawed but it’s really not a bad movie. People shite on it for some of the wooden acting, the dialogue and the wastefulness that is Jar Jar and the whole Gungan storyline. But Liam Neeson and Ewan McGregor are spot on and make it worth watching. The ending sequence, apart from the Gungans, is really solid too.
