Just got out of seeing it. Could someone explain the story to me?

Typically shirt, pants, shoes. Could involve a coat or tie or socks depending on the occasion

What you described is merely clothes.

To be considered an outfit, you need to have a pocket square, top hat, and a manual wind wristwatch with a leather strap.

I don't have much to add to this thread, but wasn't "The Outfit" the name of the mob group in the Mel Gibson Payback (1999) movie?

The Outfit is what the Chicago mafia was/IS known as. Name originated way back from slang for gangsters always wearing nice suits or "being in nice outfits." Capone era. Never heard of this movie, but I was hoping that this was about, but after googling it is definitely not lol.

One of the better DBT's songs. It's about a guy that got his GF pregnant in School. Had to paint houses for a living, and is trying to warn his musician son not to make the same mistakes, and not to apologize for who he is, and be proud of and don't forget where he comes from.

The Mel Gibson movie is pretty awesome, you should watch it. And I looked it up...it is called The Outfit in the movie.

I'm a big mafia/organized crime book/movie/docu buff and I'm ashamed to say I've never heard of the Mel Gibson one. I'll check it out this weekend. Thanks for the heads up.

Or was it...

Just finished watching it tonight, great movie. Highly recommend checking it out, very under the radar movie. There were three people including myself in the theater.

Excellent '70s neo-noir. Originally intended to be set in the '40s, which is why there are so many character actor noir-vets in the supporting cast.

I saw it on Peacock and gave it a shot. I'm glad I did. I thought I had the ending all figured out about half way through but there were some really nice twists at the end.
