Another great episode tonight.

I finally saw it last night. The scene with "Chuckles" made me laugh - really laugh. I rewound it a few times. Great show.

It bothers me how absolutely stupid the characters are sometimes.

Gordon last week going undercover and actively making stupid jokes that would get them discovered.

And then John this week making stupid jokes and refusing to put forth effort with the electric chair on the line.

I did really like this episode though. They did a great job showing the obnoxiousness of social media culture. This show I hope is given a real chance to make it. I was glad to see them be fair after the heavy liberal transgender episode.

People don't get this show...it's like an hour long "You laugh, you lose!" Sixty minutes of actors doing and saying the improbable and sometimes the outrageous totally deadpan. And no laugh track.

It's not perfect, but the production values are amazing, and it's like a homage to the original Star Trek in that it sprinkles the amusing moments in with the heavy social commentary.

And I get the sense that McFarlane's is honing his direction for the show as he goes along.

And did I mention that, unlike the latest incarnation of Star Trek, this show is completely free to watch? You can even stream it over the internet, with limited commercial breaks.

Well worth watching.

This last episode put me to sleep. I had to rewind the DVR at least four times because I'd dozed off.

Tonight's episode was really good and that's with Captain Mercer having very little screen time. It's says a lot about this show that they can take a minor character like Dr Finn and make an episode about her and her kids enjoyable.

Agreed. About 3/4 of the way in I realized that they really hadn't spent much time on the rest of the crew.

I will say that it was a good idea for the AI to be with them. There was development on two characters that we don't get to see a lot of and helps round out the cast/crew to make them more interesting and thus the show more interesting. Something Trek was a great at.

Behind a little. Just watched the upvote/downvote episode and it was definitely one of the best hours of tv ive seen in a while. Great commentary wrapped around a very enjoyable episode.

They are very good at that. I watched the Krill episode twice and the 2nd time wasn't as bad because you knew what was going to happen. Watching the first time, if I was the captain, I would have shot Gordon myself. The stuff he did was pretty ridiculous, especially considering who their hosts were.

They did the same thing in the next episode. I found the grinding on the statue very annoying even if they weren't on an alien planet. I didn't really feel sorry for him at any time during the show. Act a fool, pay the price.

They may not be officers but you would expect people who work on the bridge with the top officers to have a little more common sense and etiquette than they displayed.

I just finished the latest episode and MY-GOD. I was hoping Isaac would vaporize the kids or whatever it was he suggested to do to them. That was way over the top annoying.

I do like the show a lot but it is great at making characters annoying as hell. It causes me to wonder how they made it to their status in life if they are really that dumb.

I think it is amazing. I have liked it A LOT since the 2nd episode. I was thinking last night how as good as it has been it appears to be getting even better every week. Like stated earlier the character building has been very good which just increases interest in the show.

To be fair, I went back and rewatched the pilot and the entire crew is basically a second chance idiot crew. They all had past problems but got a second chance under McFarland's command, so at least the show knows what it's going. It's not like they set one of them up to he a genius perfect soldier.

True, I had forgotten that, even the captain. Everyone except maybe the 1st officer/Commander Grayson.

I just thought of something about this past show. I don't think there was even one line spoken that was meant to be funny.

If there was I missed it. They even had the blob thing in the beginning when they were all doing the maintenance. I guess his line telling Jon to not get them lost could have been meant to be funny.

Other than that it was a flat out drama/action/adventure to the end. No one liners or physical comedy.

Did it piss anyone else off when the Doctor told her son: "make sure you keep it on stun. They might not value life, but we do.

She had just sneak attack stabbed and then shot the guy who rescued her, fed her, and then went and got her medical supplies for her and never harmed her.

Okay, it's obvious the blue guy gives off some sort of pheromones that heightens sexual attraction.
