I was thinking the part where Gohan one-arm kamehameha's cell after he comes back from self-destruction on North Kai's planet (I think North Kai is the one king Kai was).

Yes, but Cell regenerates and gains Goku's instant transmission ability to teleport to earth where the battle was prior to Goku sending them to King Kai's planet to avoid the destruction of earth.

I dont understand why he didnt teleport cell there grab King Kai, Bubbles, and Gregory and teleport back to earth before he exploded. Anyways....

Yeah I thought that was cool too. The Goku fight and then against Buu when he blew himself up.

I think everybody who watch DBZ and saw the Cell saga asked this same question

Goku wouldn't have had to do that if Gohan would have just killed Cell when he had the chance.

Also, because Cell has Saiyan cells in him, when he came back to Earth he was now as strong as Gohan. Cell had no idea that he could get stronger by being hurt, but you can tell he is stronger because of the lightning surrounding him, much like SSJ2.

Cell is pretty much the only non-Saiyan that can get exponentially stronger, but he has no idea how to.

I always loved the part where Android 16 convinces Gohan to just let it go. Then Cell steps on his head.

Android 16's last words

Man I love this part! Easily one of my favorite scenes from the Perfect Cell saga

ETA: Bruce Faulconer made the DBZ series so much better with his music

Yeah he was. The whole Cell saga was so full of action and had so many emotional moments.

Vegeta in the rain. His speech to ascend

Fun fact, Akira Toriyoma absolutely hated Vegeta. Fans and other writers had to convince him to keep Vegeta in DBZ. His most favorite character is Piccolo, which is why Piccolo continued to grow in strength and at one point in the Cell Saga was the strongest DBZ character. It also explains why Vegeta became almost useless and Krillin-like in battles.

Yeah that made the series so much better if you ask me. It's a good thing for the story if it's not a 2 horse race the whole time. Piccolo is my 3rd favorite character in DBZ. Vegeta and Goku being my 1-2.

Gohan was my favorite character in Z, except for the Saiyaman shite. You always knew he had this ridiculous power within him and never knew when it was going to come out. When he went apeshit on cell, I couldn't contain my excitement as a kid. I still think back on it and think, 'man.. gohan was a badass'

Great scene. Much better with Japanese soundtrack though. JMO.

I remember when all that first came out over here, I couldn't stand the American music and voices.

Whaaaat? Faulconer's music was absolutely epic. One of the best soundtracks for a cartoon series I've ever heard.

I liked the Japanese music in that it sounded like a classic Japanese Samurai soundtrack and also gave the entire series that feeling, but I think Faulconer's music more matched the intensity of DBZ.

Yeah Gohan's character was ruined with that Great Saiyaman crap. He was awesome in the Cell saga though.

I really like the original Japanese soundtrack with the show. I just like the English voice actors and music more. Probably because I was so addicted to DBZ on Toonami. Gotta go with the Bruce Faulconer score. Respectively of course.

Man. I just can't agree with that Faulconer stuff. Just couldn't like it. The things I didn't like about the American dubs was how you always had to hear something. Like there's never a break. In the Android 16 scene if you compare the two dubs, iirc gohan is never talking in his head that whole time with the bird. Can't find a clip on youtube to compare. I don't know, to me the japanese score and dub was just much more powerful in that scene.

There's a whole lot of scenes where it sounds like the american characters are trying to push out a massive terd log too.

Goku's American voice is a lot better than his Japanese voice. His Japanese voice sounds like a little kid or a female. Plus they kind of make a weird voice when doing certain power-ups. And Vegeta sounds way more awesome in the American version.

There are some things that both versions do well and better than their counter-part, but the main thing that wins me over is the fact that they are speaking english.

And I loved the idea of DBKai, but the lack of blood and the voices in the American version kind of ruined it for me.
