Also, I'm considering buying DBZ.
Just the basic original 4 main ones: sayain, freiza, cell, Buu. Maybe not Buu. Jury is still out.
Need recommendations on where to buy? Ebay? Amazon digital? Blueray?

I agree. Blue is superior as of now. I'm a big fan of the ssj4 character concept. Can't wait to see Goku vs Goku

History of Trunks and Bardock: The Father of Goku are TV specials. They're technically not movies, but they're amazing. Those are my top two. Following those up with Fusion Reborn and Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan.

Please enligten me on the DB Heroes concept. I've only Ever really paid attention to canon stuff...hell, I didn't even watch GT because I heard it was so bad.

If you go with any of the Buu sagas and want the Funimation with Falconer's music, be sure to get the blue (pretty sure it's the blue case) DVDs from whatever source.

I don't know. That's a debate I've seen from multiple places and one I've thought about myself numerous times. I haven't watched GT in a while, so I can't quite recall SSJ4's power levels.
Though, I'm not sure it matters given MUI is now the highest level achieved.

Dragon Ball Heroes is a Japanese Dragon Ball game. Basically made up of what if scenarios and fan favorites. Lots and lots of fan service. I'm not very familiar with the game itself, but I'm pretty sure it's like a trading card game. There are some pretty cool DBH trailers on YouTube.
ETA: I wouldn't expect this to be a full series like Z or Super. Don't even think this show makes it to Fuji TV. Probably no English dub. Depending on popularity, it may be picked up. Who knows at this point

Not all of GT was bad. I enjoyed a lot of GT. It's pretty good once you get into the Super Android 17, Baby, and Shadow Dragon arc

Man if you've never seen GT you have to at least watch this scene. I tear up every time I see it. Piccolo is my second favorite character.

No, you're right, my bad. Apparently Toriyama declared it non-canon (GT) with the release of Super, which corrects the discrepancies between the two.
