I agree, best episode of the series so far, imo.

Felt like I was 14, and watching Goku transform into a super saiyan for the first time on toonami. All kinds of excited. I freaking loved it.
Btw guys, the mysterious character terms is supposed to be from the future, and it's someone we know...Toriyama said that explicitly.

I liked the explanation as well. That he couldn't use it with normal super saiyan because it's too volatile, and he could kill himself, but the SSG is about ki control and allows him to use it.

Rewatching Kai right now. Just got to the episode when Vegeta goes Super Sayain for the first time and destroys 19.
We're getting close to the episode that has my favorite moment from any abridged episode. "WANNA SEE ME EAT THIS GUY!"
