Looks the part IYAM. I don't care if he's German. If Superman & Batman can be played by Brits, then 007 can be played by another European.

But isn't Skyfall the last MGM Bond?

Quantum was frustrating for me because I don't like Craig as Bond and I don't like the action-movie style that they're bringing to the franchise. Worse, I don't like the way that they're changing the character.
As a movie on its own, without all of my expectations for a Bond movie, the last two were good. The major problem I had with QoS was that it expected a lot of the viewer - it assumed that you had a good working memory of the new Casino Royale and plunged straight in to the plot. I think that device can be used well or it can be used poorly, and I thought QoS did it poorly.
Anyway, I'll keep watching Craig as Bond. I suffered through Timothy Dalton and I can suffer through Daniel Craig... I just don't know if I can take the way that they're changing the character and the series.

Tom Hardy or Michael Fassbender would be my ideal guys.
I think Hardy is already way too big for the role. Fassbender by the time they are ready for the new one will be too big as well.
Remember, Daniel Craig had a semi-major role in a blockbuster movie, Road to Perdition, and starred in a hugely underrated but cult status movie, Layer Cake. I think most would agree that his role in Layer Cake earned him his Bond role.
So with that in mind, pretty much any Avengers actor is out, due to commitments and popularity. Jon Hamm is a good choice, as he has yet to really make it in the movies. Guy Pearce has been around for awhile and his name is always thrown out there as a choice, but I think he finally has a legitimate chance next time because he has yet to explode despite being around so long, so he is at least recognizable.

The Living Daylights is good, but License to Kill was the first Bond movie I saw that didn't have Connery starring and he just couldn't stack up

Michael Fassbender would be my personal number one choice.

It's funny that of the last three Bonds, Dalton, Brosnan and Craig, all three had solid initial movies. Hopefully Craig rebounds.
I liked all three as Bonds. I just think the movies have blown chunks. I liked Roger Moore but looking back he was too old in his last couple.

DOUBLE POX!
That's actually my favorite Bond film. It's the first one I ever saw.

I really liked the Living Daylights.

I did also. I thought LtK sucked though, just like all the other Bonds that Brosnan did besides Goldeneye.

POX AGAIN!
Moore is easily the absolute worst bond. Worse than Lazenby.

Please. How much have you watched? I'd go
1. Connery
2. Brosnan
3. Moore
4. Dalton
5. Lazenby
9,001. Craig

How much have you watched?
Grew up on Bond man.
But that's the wrong question, it's not how much you've watched anyway (I've probably seen every movie at least a couple of times. Way more when it comes to the best of the best), it's how much you've read.
Classically, unless you just like Bond and his wacky gadgets, Moore is the worst. It's not even a debate.

9,001. Craig
But I'll replace the word "worst," with "wackiest." Happy?
It goes like this:
Craig-------Dalton------Connery------Lazenby------Brosnan------Moore
Killer---------------------Spy---------------------------Gadgets and Fun
Dalton played it closest to the books. Connery was the best of both worlds. Craig is just as different from the core of the character as Moore, but in a better way.
He was SUPPOSED to be a brutal and inexperienced Bond. He had no tact and very little "secret agent" feel. It works well on screen though.
