80's children's movies had many scenes that scared kids shizless.

NE Story- the nothing
Return to Oz- the wheelers, the weird queen who took off her head
Legend- umm, effin Satan!
Dark Crystal- the entire movie scared me.

However, this always bothered me, wtf kind of drink did Sebastian's dad make him in the morning for breakfast. Jeeze dude, mom's dead. Make the kid some eggs or something

I was wondering when I saw that scene. Looked like an orange juice smoothie he was blending...but no freaking ice in it.

And yeah....LOVE, LOVE the beginning music

That was just awkward to watch though. With the cheesy looking fake Atreyu and the queen chick sitting on the fake stuffed Falcor while chicks dressed as fairies frolic in the background.

Dude has aged very well though I have to say.

I was waiting for Atreyu to lay down the child-like empress and have his way with her on Falkor's back.

This is probabaly the most memorable movie from my childhood. Use to be in love with the Childlike Princess. I never could figure out the name Bastian screams out when he has to give her a name towards the end.

Same here. I would always get really close to the TV but could never make it out.
