Don't forget that Asokha was searching for Thrawn in S2.

Why do y’all think Bo kept quiet about the Mythosaur? Too proud to admit she was wrong about all of it? Or is she gonna use that information to her benefit down the road ?

The Armorer mentions stories of another mythosaur rising up to usher in a new Mandalorian age. They were tamed and ridden by Mando’s ancestors.

My guess is that after her dip in the waters herself, she is putting herself in a position to unite the existing Mandalorians by taking a mythosaur. And she’s going to save it for that.

So was Grogu trying to say "This is the way" with Bo and Din?

I was thinking that or he was trying to tell them he felt the presence of the tie intercepters because they are there right after he gargles

Oh man, that was a love/hate episode.

While is was good overall, it is not what I was looking for

I wanted another 55 minutes of Mandalorian stuff, not some Andor level action.

I wasn’t expecting that type of episode either, very Andor-like as you alluded to. Not a problem for me as I enjoyed Andor. At this point I trust these guys to get it right and they haven’t let us down so far

According to her IMDB, she's just a lesbian. None of the over the top Alphabet People stuff - just that she digs chicks as much as most of us.

this was easily one of the best episodes of the entire series. moved the series forward tremendously.

I’m hoping against all hope this isn’t the case. I liked the episode. I like the show. I HATE the sequels. I would be ecstatic if this is a plot that ties into Thrawn and a storyline similar to Heir to the Empire. If it goes into a First Order/Snoke/Palpatine thing, I might lose all interest in Star Wars.

They've already gone there, baw. You don't have to like the sequel trilogy, but until they overtly state they're heading in a different direction, that nonsense is canon.

Until it isn't.

Yeah pretty evident based on where this falls in the timeline that they’re explaining how the First Order and Snoke ultimately came about. I can understand why some may tap out on principle but I don’t think it’s needlessly being shoe horned in.

More likely Gideon (or Thrawn) returns and the Mandalorians - unified by the Mythosaur and dark saber wielded by either Bo or Din - go to war with the First Order. Would assume Asoka and Luke join the fight and all or most are summarily defeated in the end leading to the resistance and the sequels

That’s the problem with the whole thing. (Besides the Sequel Trilogy blowing)

Why build an entire multi-show event that leads to a predetermined point?

Look, I know the good guys always win in these things. I’m not saying it’s up in the air. But having the audience know what your story leads to kinda ruins the suspense.

This would totally suck.

While it would be too much ask on Disney egos to ignore or toss sequels, they should at least relegate it to just another story in the SW universe.

The timeline between Mandalorian and sequels is 25 Coruscant years. No reason to kill off Mandalorian arc, it should be the future with Thrawn. Chiss were outside the scope of Palpatine's control anyways. Yeah the Emp tried to make a comeback with the First Order, but there are always bigger fish out there.

Age estimates post sequels
Mando - 60s
Bo - 70s
Grogu - 70s (just a baby)
Boba - 60s
Ashoka - 70s
Ezra - 50s
Sabine - 50s
Thrawn - 90+

There was a post earlier in this thread that said something about Grogu being with Luke 2 years. So where would this put the season 3 in the timeline? Maybe 9 or 10 ABY?

The third book in Chuck Wendig's book trilogy (which is canon) cover the Battle of Jakku (5 ABY). In the book's epilogue it talks about General Hux being trained by his father, and also how a group of former Imperials navigate the Unknown Regions to find the last remaining Star Destroyer, the Eclipse. So there you have some of the seeds of the First Order.

I am thinking that Palpatine's clones had already been made, but the strandcasts mentioned (cloning from two or more sources) could certainly be the background for Snoke.

Do you even Andor, bro? We know precisely what happens to Cassian by virtue of Rogue One. That doesn't make his 2 season series any less entertaining to know what happened before the alley scene where we meet him in RO.
