I haven't seen LR but I find that hard to believe.
IMO MOS has been extremely overrated by this board.

MOS is a good Sci-Fi movie. A decent action pic. Not a good Superman movie at all.

I really enjoyed it as well. It was a tad bit drawn out, but kept me interested and laughing. My parents went and watched it as well and they both enjoyed it as well, and that's saying a good bit considering my dad is a grumpy old man these days.

The Lone Ranger is terrible. Don't let anyone tell you different.
I was hoping they would take it seriously, but it wasn't in the least bit. Depp was terrible. Lone Ranger was a whimpy pussy that wouldn't shoot anyone, then when he decides to, he is out of ammo. Trigger was a punchline the whole movie. It was just terrible. I was really disappointed and I wasn't expecting much. WASTE OF MONEY!!
I didn't see the new Superman, so I cannot comment.

I am a scifi goon and MOS is a weak SciFi movie at best...

I was taking the family, and my son had already seen Superman. So, we just decided to see Lone Ranger since we all wanted to eventually see that anyway. I actually don't make it to the movie theatre that often.
