They are alive, so apparently there was not much "action" on the trip. We would have just gotten more boring character development.

Sarcasm aside, Pascal and Ramsey are doing a GREAT job of showing the developing bond between their characters between the time jumps.

And honestly, everyone who has ever tried to adapt a video game to the screen and went that heavy on the action has failed. Because it becomes monotonous at best.

I didn't want more action. I wanted it to move the story along. They could have been traveling on their route or stopping at Bill's place to get the supplies.
