$21.5 mill to $40.1 mill compared to TFA’s first Monday

Sign of how this will do moving forward? Rogue One made $17.6 that first Monday for another reference.

It's still the 10th highest Monday gross, but a relatively far fall after the 2nd highest weekend ever.

55% audience score and horrible word of mouth

It would be a lot worse if Disney didn’t buy reviews

I think both of those hit it. The people who scored it early are the diehards who often see Star Wars multiple times. They aren't.

And they're letting people know bad it is.

No it's not. That was its first Monday. Christmas Monday was a week later, its second Monday.

Well, there is a god. I'm betting that Disney and Rian Johnson will have "creative differences" in the next few months and part ways.

I saw both TFA and Rogue One twice in theaters.

I’m not going to see this one again.

While the move to Disney meant we’d never see something as good as empire again, at the very least I thought they would be so protective over it that we’d never get another soul crushing piece of shite either

Misleading stat. There are fewer schools off right now compared to TFA first Monday.

Let me rephrase that
I won't put it in my Netflix queue when it comes out, meaning I won't rip a copy onto my computer for viewing through my Plex server.

I think coming out with a Star Wars movie every year has to eventually over expose the market. I wouldn't be surprised if we are starting to see that.

This movie opened somewhat earlier than TFA or RO. We can expect very strong numbers on Wednesday-Friday as the holidays kick in. With a lot of grade schools not out until later this week, I'd say this is a solid number that will only get better throughout the week.

I wish they would lease the rights of Darth Bane to Netflix or HBO so we could get a miniseries.
