Meh. It's not bad, just too many slow spots.

The problem is I saw Blood Feud years ago. Robert Blake totally blew away Pacino in that role.

Blake totally owned the role. You could see him being that union boss more so than Pacino or Nicholson. He played the Hoffa temper perfectly instead of going over the top as Pacino did.

I’m still legitimately amazed Scorcese left it in the film

Should have edited to show him going in and pulling the guy out, then just pause and Dinero voice over something and then show him walking away with his daughter.

Think it was Goodfellas that did a good job with that type of stuff.

I liked the movie, though as was literally pointed out in the narrative I knew next to nothing about Hoffa going in, so it was kind of cool to see an (obviously dramatized) version of some crazy history. It's stupid long, possibly could have been broken into two or three parts as a miniseries kind of thing. Movie had a hell of a cast. That one scene with the stomping was REALLY bad though.

I liked it, but I have no interest in ever watching it again. It's far too long.

Yeah it was really good for a one and done. There's no chance anyone goes to see a 3 hour or whatever movie in theater. That puts LOTR extended cuts to shame.

I just glanced through it, but Blood Fued is laughably bad. I thought The Irishman was good but had several flaws: that Deniro tough guy scene and the length were just two.
