No way in hell they lose to the Cubs if Wild Thing walks out to throw the first pitch. That place would have gone nuts.

The Mets should have had Christopher Lloyd throw out the first pitch in 2015.

They would have still lost.

Robert Redford's last act on Earth should be to step up to home plate in a New York MLB stadium as they're in danger of calling a rain delay, holding his Wonder Boy bat out to call his shot, and being called to heaven by a bolt of fatal lightning.

Ah, baseball in the late 80's and early 90's. That's my wheelhouse.

When the Guardians were the Indians, the Yankees sucked arse, no DH in the National League, the Astros were still in the NL, each league had only two divisions, and the players were all hooked on blow.

Times were so much simpler then.

Even better when Vin Scully, Harry Caray, Bob Uecker, Mel Allen, Joe Garagiola and Marty Brennaman were calling those games.
