Is this more horror/scary or mystery?

Not that id be "too scaredy" to watch it but im not sure im up for the tension of a horror movie for 12 episodes of tv show.

What say those that have watched it? Any comparisons for tone?

Because the reviews and the ratings look like its great.

Films/tv that scare me enough to leave lights on for a day or so:
Exorcist
Conjuring
Exorcism of Emily Rose
The Ring
The Haunting of Hill House (big time)

It's more psychological family drama.

It has a couple of jump scares but it’s more psychological. With lots of homages to other horror/thriller directors. They have one episode in particular that’s a lot of long shots and Hitchcock-esque that will give you chills.

It is a drama about loss and mental health and family with some solid jump scares mixed in.

You should watch it. Easily one of the best shows Netflix has put out.

Maybe my favorite new show of 2018. It's really not that scary, but it does get to you sometimes.

It’s a good show, but it ended very weak, imo.

Still well worth the ride.

At first it was scary but once you learn what's going on the scare factor vanishes.

Great show.

If you get stressed out by horror, then I envy you and you should definitely watch it. Horror is meant to scare or make you uncomfortable.

That’s me. Can watch Jason, Freddy and Myers all day long without any issues but throw me a Haunting of Hill House and damn my mind plays tricks on me. And I love it.
