The Bob Newhart Show

it´s up there, for sure. Bob Newhart´s a funny guy on his own, as well.

Love me some Jerry the dentist, funny character.

My vote goes to the Cosby Show

I see many votes for Curb. I love Curb, but for soem reason I do not consider it a sitcom.

Seinfeld or the Cosby Show for a more traditional sitcom pic.

THIS. For God sake, that comment and the recent thread about Honey Boo Boo make this whole board a sacrilegious playground that should be bathed in bleach, set on fire, and put in time out. In all seriousness, I can appreciate The Big Bang Theory humor, but to call it one of the greats is a down right slap in the face to that beautiful rectangular box of angels. I rather watch Get Smart re runs.

Honeymooners
I Love Lucy
All in the Family
Mary Tyler Moore Show
Mash
Cheers/Frasier
Seinfeld(not a personal favorite)

All have merit in historical context. Too soon for others.

Cheers had such a great theme for a show. Loved Woody in it.

I watched a lot of "wings" growing up, but I wouldn't put it as a top 3. USA had a decent mid to late 90s run.

My personal list would be

1 All in the Family
2 cheers
3 Sanford & son
And I honestly have to say I'd add Three's company. Ritter was awesome.

Here's how I would rank them personally.

1.Seinfeld
2.Family Guy
3.The Office
4.Saved By the Bell
5.Friends
6.Fresh Prince
7.Gilligan's Island
8.The Brady Bunch
9.That 70's Show
10.Big Bang Theory

Unbiased, it has to be Seinfeld at #1, then Mash and The Simpsons, then Cheers and The Cosby Show.

2 Sanford & Son
3 Seinfeld
4 All in the Family
5 MASH (it did jump the shark in the last few seasons though.)

Sanford and Son.

If you can only catch a few episodes, I would suggest the first season. And that unforgettable theme song.
