Just watched this yesterday. I have never seen ANY grand tours but I saw the special and was interested.
By far one of the most entertaining and hilarious shows I've seen. Are all three of those guys in the prior Grand Tour seasons? I saw Amazon prime has the older episodes.

Yes, their best stuff was when they were on Top Gear. They would do these big adventures a couple of times a season. My fa orite is when they have to drive old beat up lorrys (trucks) through Burma and build a bridge at the end over the river Kwai. Its gold.
The Vietnam cross country scooter episode is great as well.

i can't wait
I just realized Top Gear is not this show. I thought Grand Tour was just the name of Season 4. So Grand Tour is one show and Top Gear is the other.
These three guys are fantastic together.

Just like how perfect Led Zeppelin band members were together so is the original Top Gear crew.

They did Top Gear together for years. Jeremy (the fat one) got fired. The other two then quit and created The Grand Tour with him.
Most of the episodes of both shows aren't like what you just saw. They review cars, talk about car related news, interview celebrities... I enjoy them as well but they're a totally different vibe.
The specials are what most people love. That's the only thing they'll be doing on The Grand Tour now. Just a few specials per year. Seamen was the first of the new(ish) format.

Hammond looked ridiculous back then.

Just looked on Amazon prime, you can sign up for free motor trend TV trial and they have 19 of the more famous specials from top gear on their. Think I may sign up and watch some of them myself. This thread has got me hearing Jeremy screaming "Hammond!".
