That's as wild as all the Sergio Leone spaghetti westerns being filmed in Spain. You'd never know it wasn't the Mexican/American southwest by looking at it.

The marketing for this film was all over the place (In a bad way). Barely even knew Brolin was in it and he's the best part.
Hell, I dint even know Guy Pearce was in it either even after watching it. I thought his character was played by Jeff Fahey or Esai Morales.
Overall, critics very wrong on this one.

I read the book off a rec on the book board, and it was OK, I guess. Doesn't plow new ground in the post-apocalyptic space, really. It focused on the emotional aspect, more than anything, and that's OK. I didn't think it would make a great flick, so I'll probably wait until streaming.
If you want a book that does Post Apocalyptic well, check out One Second After. That was fantastic, and would make an excellent movie.

It's a trilogy, but I had to take a break from it. It gets very bleak, and it's incredibly realistic.

How do you not add in a scene near the end where he goes back into the city and finds a puppy (same breed) in a bad spot and takes it in.
Or stops as he's on the way to run into the mountain face and finds a puppy.
Biggest hole in the whole film, right there. It was asking for a scene like that.
