This is exactly what I'm trying to do. I have the general idea of what it's about but don't want to speculate too much or think anymore about it because I want to be surprised and see if it lives up to expectations. Now, I am not expecting it to be as good as TDK...that is just setting the bar too high and setting yourself up for disappointment. A good movie? Yes, absolutely but not quite that good.

I do just wish they would have a very small reference to the Joker. He is THE villain in all of comics really and he's still alive in the universe; it's not dishonoring Ledger in any way, if anything it's kind of paying homage to how great he was. Something simple such as I've seen suggested with a view of Arkham and Ledger's laugh would suffice.

For the first time ever, I think I might be disappointed by a Pixar film.

I also LOVE how thousands of people are not hyped-up about this movie.

The same people that always, for whatever reason, love to go against the grain and act as if they're too good or important to follow what the rest of the world is doing/listening/watching.

That's all it is.

You can pick them out pretty easily on this board.

I say if you loved Batman Begins and TDKR, why not be pumped up/have high expectation? I have really high expectations because Nolan has never given me a reason not to. I really don't get the "Nah, I'm not expecting much" argument. "The first two were awesome so I'm not expecting this one to be very good. If its not I can say I told you so."

I'm a huge Batman fan but didn't know much about Batman Begins when I went to see it. I walked out of the theater thinking "What a movie. They finally got it right."

For The Dark Knight, I followed almost every bit of production news, watched every trailer, and let myself get built up by all of the pre-release reviews. By the time I watched the movie, I felt like I sort of knew what to expect. I still loved the movie and still believe that its an epic feature. However, it felt too familiar while I was watching it.

While I followed a lot of TDKR news, I've basically shut down trying to seek out info and I'm going to try to avoid trailers as much as I can. This is going to be a great end to the trilogy and I want to be surprised as much as I can.

This is exactly how I feel. Im done with the spoilers and trailers, and to be quiet honest, Im just ready to see the damn film. I guess im in the minority, but I liked Begins better than TDK. I thought TDK was 30 minutes too long. Still a great film, but for rewatching value, I can watch Begins easier. Maybe I will like TDKR more because of him "rising" again.
