He failed to sway Darrell and got bailed out by a double elimination. He would have beaten Devin for sure, but he ended up getting the matchup he really wanted with Josh, that was lucky.
He backstabbed Kyle just to avoid the tie knowing that he was going down anyway, only to have it luckily be a female elimination, then Nany picks Kyle and sets him up a free week right before the finals. That was more luck than strategy. Again, he would have beaten Kyle in a hall brawl, but he didn't even have to risk anything.
He also caught a break week one when the house plotted to send him against Wes and it ended up a female elimination.

I love that CT pretends to want to be with T. And I love how he acts like it's easy to get her "in shape" in like a week of training.
Love this challenge and have always wanted to do something like this since the America Gladiator days. It's pure insanity that they don't have elbow and knee pads on though. Especially with two people in the same pod.
It's stupid that they have three on offense and two on defense. It should definitely be the other way around, otherwise one team should always have an advantage. It's also much easier to fix as well.
And Kyle and Amber almost pulled it out still. But it shouldn't have even been that close with Leroy and Kayce not only going twice, but not really having anybody defending them in round two.
I want to feel bad for Amber, but she straight up lied to her friends early on this season and now expects that people aren't gonna do that to her. It would be the same if Kyle expected that because all he does is lies. To everyone.
I don't know if this plan of Kyle's is gonna work, but it's a good plan and I hope it does. And it should be funny to watch.

They would have had to do a third round... and Leroy/Kaycee would have still gotten a second chance. Agreed though, challenges like that where teams can team up sort of suck.

CT knew was more than likely going in no matter what. But by voting for Kyle, he guaranteed who he would be going against if he got thrown in. Also protected himself if Leroy/Kaycee decided to try to take out a stronger team.

Likely, but not certain. If it had been a tie and for whatever reason the tiebreaker ended up putting Fessy and Nany in the elimination, then Leroy and Kaycee might have voted for Kyle/Amber because Kaycee would want to protect Fessy if it was a guys' elimination.

How was getting Josh lucky if he would've also beaten Devin? Do you mean because Devin would've at least done better than Josh?
And CT has played about as well as someone can in his situation. He wasn't really ever fully in any alliances, yet he's still in the final. He also never really had good partners outside of Kam for a couple weeks, and he still made it. And IMO he is likely underestimated by the house (certainly by Fessy, if not others) for the final. Which I'd imagine is right where CT would want to be (the underdog position).
Right now I feel like the betting money has to be on CT for the guys.
I just realized that I don't think Cory got a single minute of airtime last night.
Next week should be interesting. It would be awesome if Kyle and Nany can somehow win the challenge, and then two of Fessy, Leroy, and Cory will have to go into elimination. I assume if that's the case that Fessy/Amber would be the house vote since Kam and Leroy aren't voting for each other and will vote Fessy/Amber. Kaycee would be an interesting vote to see if she stays loyal to Fessy or if she breaks Leroy's trust and votes in his girlfriend's team.
It should be interesting because this late in the game and with teams the way they are, you have some VERY serious alliances mixed together.
Leroy is aligned with Kam first and foremost, then Kaycee as they've been jiving all season.
Kam is aligned with Leroy.
Cory will do what Kam wants IMO as he's not really in any alliance per se.
Kaycee is with Fessy first, then prolly Leroy second.
CT is rogue.
Amber will likely go with whatever the opposite side of Big Brother (Kaycee/Fessy).
Fessy is Kaycee first, and then I'm not sure.
Nany is Leroy first and foremost, and then I guess maybe Kyle?
Kyle will go with whatever gives him the best chance to not go in, which is why he and Nany need to win or else they're likely in.
I think that's everybody left. There were five teams, and now 4.5 with T going home and CT rogue.

Devin would have at least been working on the puzzle rather than swinging around.
Regardless though, him getting a shot at Josh's gold skull wasn't strategy, it was luck. CT is probably my all-time favorite challenger, but the breaks have gone his way this season in addition to some good play.

As I said earlier in this thread there were rumblings on social media that Bananas win last season was rigged for him. As many breaks as CT is getting the rumblings will start that this season is rigged for him.

I'm actually come around to I want to see Fessy and Kaycee win just to spite Kam. She's so fricking hypocritical. She says Fessy is full of himself yet he hasn't given himself a "killa Cam" type nickname. Cam complains the guys speak bad of the girls behind their backs. Thing is she straight up does the same thing only worse by pretending to be on the girls side. She complains that Kyle isn't true to his word then uses a BS way to claim she doesn't have to live up to hers. Complains that Fessy and Kaycee have been wanting all along to work with each other yet she's done the same with Leroy. CT is screwed with Amber as his partner.

I have no idea why the guys would volunteer to go and be taken. They’ve done shite like this before and it’s been “do xyz to find your partner.” I would’ve gambled that that’s what it was and sent the girl with TJ. And of course it’s a five mile run with puzzles.
I hate Kam but man she seems pretty damn smart.
Of course Amber can’t do simple math. I mean at some point just go 400 x 7 = 2800. 30 x 7 = 210. 9 x 7 = 63. And add them together. You don’t have to try to write it out long ways just solve it using very simple multiplication and addition.
I wonder if Kam and Leroy are gonna make a play to get on the same team for the final. Or Kaycee and Fessy. Although I feel like Leroy and Kam may stay on separate teams to sort of hedge their bets.
Nany, people don’t underestimate you. And they don’t respect you because you are pretty terrible. And you don’t play your best when people underestimate you....because they always do and you always suck. So again, they estimate you perfectly.

The worst part of Amber sucking is it’s pumping Fessy’s ego even more. He “hasn’t been able to compete all season”? Hahaa. Okay, douche.

He isn’t a snake at all while Kyle is the biggest snake in the show.

Thso whole season sucked. There were essentially zero twists and turns like TJ kept saying and it was all bullshite.

I think they absolutely don’t win. Hell I also think Leroy and Nanny are gonna struggle as she’s no cardio beast. I’m gonna be curious to see how CT and Amber do. She’s skinny as hell so should be decent at cardio. As long as she keeps up, he can smash the puzzles and the eating. They’re the dark horse for sure.

As much as I never want to defend Fessy, I'm gonna defend all of the guys for a second. Kam basically went off last night about how "every guy in the house" talks all kinds of shite about who sucks and girls are layups and all that. Now I know she was partly playing that up to rile up Amber to save Leroy, but she's also said it before, as have other women too. And beyond last night, it happens every season that there are coed teams.
But look no further than this thread. We are basically ranking the teams for the final as Fessy/Kaycee, Cory/Kam, Leroy/Nany, and CT/Amber. And there is literally one reason we rank them that way....the girls. We are basically ranking the girls and that's it. Outside of Kaycee and Kam (who are both good), the rest basically suck.
So the guys have every right to want/not want certain people. Sure, it makes for compelling tv I guess when we see Aneesa, T, or Amber crying because none of the guys want to run a final with them. But at the end of the day, it is a competition and you have to try to give yourself the best chance to win. And having a weak partner doesn't do that. I actually think CT could win this if he was with Nany even, but being with Amber will likely anchor him to the point that he CAN'T win. And she is "in shape" and supposedly plays rugby, but she's not great physically and I certainly don't think she is mentally prepared for a final.
My only hope is that there is nothing that singularly hinges on Amber having to perform something alone. If CT can carry her, maybe they can have a shot. But like the math problem, she will crumble under any sort of pressure.

I said last night that I wish it wasn't Hall Brawl. ANY other physical thing and Kyle may have had a shot. But not HB. However, how many times have we bitched about final eliminations not being physical? I know I've done it several times before...so at least it was physical and you have to literally go down and earn it. I just wish it was anything other than the one literal elimination that Fessy is virtually unbeatable at.

My main hope is Fessy and Kaycee stalling out on a puzzle. Kaycee is cool, but doesn't seem super smart really. And Fessy is an idiot. So I could see that maybe biting them in the arse. Any outlier type shite (like eating) I don't see them being challenged at all.
I think it will come down to how much of it is purely team based and how much will hinge on single team members carrying the team. Like I mentioned in my post above, if Amber can sort of ride CT's coattails, they may have a shot. But if she has to do anything alone under pressure, she will falter. Nany is the same way too.
Honestly, if CT can manage to pull this off, it would be one of the biggest upsets/performances in Challenge final history and he would cement his legacy as one of the GOATs.
I do think Kam and Cory have almost as good a chance as F/K though. As long as Kam can take a crack at any puzzles they have to do and it's not completely up to Cory, they have a shot because they should both be good at the physical and stamina stuff.
