Holy shite. You have the layup of the century on the table and Gabby passes it up. Simply one of the worst moves in Challenge history.

So what happens if Gabby wants to go down and Devin doesn't?

We haven't seen any situation yet where the double agents disagree on what to do, and Devin has absolutely nothing to gain by going in on the off chance that it is a mens elimination.

quote:

Devin also totally fricking blew his power move. He should have cut a deal with Lolo to go into the pit against the house vote

Again, what happens when Gabby disagrees? At one point Devin mentioned this and she wanted nothing to do with giving Lolo a chance at a skull. All the girls clearly want to block her out of the finals.

I know in the past when this situation arose and a team couldn't agree, they went down, but that was back before the skulls twist.

I feel Devin would have just gone along with her because who knows what TJ would have done in that case. He could have sent them down there and made it a male and female battle.

Yea they gotta tell us what happens if the partners disagree. It’s always been so weird that they’ve agreed each time, but at some point they gotta disagree, right?

Also, wasn’t there an earlier episode where a duo said they wanted to know if it was a girl or guy elimination before telling him who was going and he told them? Is he just done with that now, and now it’s always going to be a surprise?

I haven't watched in 3 weeks. Is it worth going back to catch up or just start from last night's?

TJ said early on if they disagree they go in themselves, well one of them does depending on guys or girls elimination.

I must have missed that.

Then yeah, Gabby really fricked up not fighting to go in.

It feels like Lolo is still throwing herself at Nam and he just isn't interested, and it's pretty hilarious (and sad).
But Lolo is right and Nam is wrong in their discussions...they both should be trying to go down and get a skull. They are still playing a scared game, and it may get them screwed in the end.

I feel like hanging out with Lolo for ten minutes would show you why she's never in relationships. She is insufferable almost always.

Fessy has literally zero game. And it's hilarious.

Holy shite, this challenge....ten pieces seems like a lot and if nobody is helping you, you could potentially have to literally dig 100 holes.

I have no idea why teams are both digging together. Unless that's a rule, it seems like a bad strategy. Surely it has to be a rule though, because it looks like nobody is doing it.

Good job Devin and Gabby.

Kam saying that Devin plays with revenge and she would use her power more intelligently is fricking hilarious. Every time someone says Kam's name, she gets all pissy and bent out of shape, and promises that whoever said her name is gonna pay and go home. And she's arguably worse than Devin with the revenge thing.

I can't imagine being Devin's partner though. I do feel bad for Gabby. Maybe this time we will see what happens when the double agents doesn't agree.

Now Lolo is bitching about not having a coach because she can't function like an adult and work shite out on her own. Yay. She is the very definition of that idiot girl who's life motto is "If you can't handle me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my best." I hate those types of girls. If I can't handle you at your worst, then you should probably stop being such an a-hole.

Nam says "situation" exactly like Arnold Schwarzenegger.

In no world should the house ever vote Lolo in. Not only is she good at stuff, but she hates her partner and they don't get along. And that's exactly where the house should want her to stay. And her crying in front of everyone is stupid and shouldn't make a difference either.

Devin goes from playing smart to playing loose and stupid way too often. He makes fun of people who get emotional, but he plays with emotion (jealousy, revenge, anger, etc.) in almost every move he tries to make.

Gabby pussing out. Amber M is in there and Gabby even said that she thinks she could beat her, and then she pusses out. And she even says she wants to protect Devin's skull, which is hilarious. Terrible move by Gabby.

Josh is mad at Devin for not throwing them in, when that's what Josh wants so Nany can get her skull. Why the hell would Devin throw you in if that's what you want to happen? Idiot.

Amber B said she plays rugby?

I like this twist on Hall Brawl, but man that's back and forth over and over.

Best part of Amber B going in is Darrell is getting more screen time.

Cory's partners keep going home. It's really funny at this point.

Amber bitching about not being able to trust people is awesome, because of the shite she pulled a week or two ago. I love this show and how stupid and hypocritical everyone is.

I'm glad it seems like next week throws a wrench into the game, because they seem to have it pretty well figured out at this point so it should be nice for there to be some surprises again.

I think it was just that it was announced prior to the double agents having to make their decision for the first one or two eliminations. Then it was refrained from after that. So I don't think it's a matter of TJ telling them or not telling them, I just think they either changed it up to frick with the game, or the producers made the change from there forward because it allowed too much strategy to be employed by the double agent team.

I'd watch. But I am enjoying the season. It's much less of a chore than it was a few seasons ago...the last 2 or 3 have been solid seasons. And this one is no different IMO. Of course, you could also just go back to that point in the thread and read the posts too. Between people posting and my (and others) stream of consciousness type posts, you should be able to get a solid recap of what happened.

I don't really like that they don't know... I think there would be more strategy if it was announced right before the double agents had to choose.

Devin also totally fricking blew his power move. He should have cut a deal with Lolo to go into the pit against the house vote (she would have gone in against anyone the house voted in, even if she didn't know it was going to be hall brawl) and he could have split his allies even more. She would have been loyal to him, and Nam is his friend too, so he could possiblly add another number there. That would make his alliance of Nam, CT, Cory, Lolo and himself. That's decent numbers. But now, he's just kind of sitting there as as one of the prime targets to take a skull from. I would expect Josh to be #1 because of Devin's puzzle accumen, but then he's next. Just dumb strategy altogether.

I want to agree with that, but it seems like it's in everyone's interest to keep Lolo sidelined though. Both for the house and for the final.

I do feel like Devin was too focused on guys and should've entertained more girls in his discussions around the house. That way he had a solid backup plan if Gabby didn't want to go in (which, again, was all-time amounts of stupid).

Lolo is simply just in some kind of fantasy land where she thinks she is playing in the fricking Olympics..

As an American, I am glad Lolo is a good Olympian. But as a Challenger, I'd tell her to piss off with all that bragging and let her know that those medals don't mean shite in a Challenge house.
quote:

Love Darrell's whole view of it all... "sorry bitch, that's the Challenge." absolutely classic.

Darrell's the fricking man. And I hope he can find a way to grab a skull and run the final. Even after all these years I feel like he'd still have to be a favorite to win it.

in fairness, she's never won an Olympic medal. She was leading in the 100m hurdles in the 2008 Olympics and clipped the second to last hurdle, tripped, and finished 7th. In 2012, she finished 4th in the same event. In the 2014 Winter Olympics, her team finished 11th in the bobsled. She has won some medals in other world events, but never in the Olympics. I think she may be one of the favorites to win a medal in the 2-man bobsled in the next winter olympics. Impressive athlete, no doubt

I like Darrell a lot but think he's pretty overrated at this point in his challenge career. He hasn't really done anything impressive since he returned to the show a few years ago. (I don't really count the champs v stars thing they've done). In the main challenge seasons, he hasn't come close to making a final since Fresh Meat 1 over 15 years ago and has had early exits more times than not. I mean he's 40 year old now, so him being out there still is impressive, but he wouldn't be on my short-list of favorites anymore

I thought she had medaled in winter one time. I do remember her choking in the hurdles though.

And I’m just saying IF Darrell made the final he seems to still be in good shape and has a fantastic track record in finals. I’m not saying he’s a favorite right now. But if he made it it’s hard to count him out IMO.

She won gold at the world championships a few weeks ago, but never Olympics.

This was such a terrible episode. Was a complete let down. Here is what I wanted and thought the previews hinted at:

Gabby decides she wants to throw Amber a bone and sends in Big T. Everyone gets ready for Hall Brawl and TJ pulls a fast one saying it is in fact a guys elimination CT vs Corey hall brawl. CT takes Corey out and as a favor to Nam decides to take LoLo as his partner . Big T cries and is pissed at CT for lying.

Instead we got the worse hall braw in history.

First time I’ve ever watched any of this show....but Lolo sucks just as bad as I thought she would. She’s such an insecure bitch, constantly seems to try and bring up her sports background. Sorry you currently don’t have a coach to mediate now when you’re being an insufferable bitch.

I almost texted you earlier to see if Lolo had ever responded to your inquiries about kickball. What was that on, Tinder?

And another thing I realized, the previews for this week showed CT getting all up in Fessy’s face. But that didn’t happen. What a fricking sham.

That was just a part of the whole 2nd half of the season montage they showed. I think this season is considerably longer than viewers and challengers suspected. Honestly, I thought we were 2-3 episodes from finale a couple weeks back.

There's still a big CT/Fessy and CT/Big T blowup to unfold.

ETA:
As someone previously surmised, I'd guess CT wins in the Crater and selects a solid female partner with a skull. Which in turn leaves Big T feeling betrayed.
