Yeah, some of those rivalries are really weak, and those teams will probably have an advantage over the few with legit gripes against each other.

Pretty weak season overall. It was decent at the beginning but really slipped once Abe/the twins/Johnny left.
The final 6 (really 8) were just not enjoyable to watch.
Finale was pretty weak too, nothing about it was unique or something we haven't already seen. The first stage was the only one that seemed truly difficult.

now Rivals 1 actually had some people that legit didn't like each other.

John and Sarah were "friends" for so long, mostly because Sarah wanted to be friends with the power players. Only reason they are "rivals" is because she finally started playing the game in an intelligent manner. Since they are paired together, they will get along fine.
Besides Johnny Reilly and Jessica, which is a pretty uninteresting couple, I don't see anyone else with a legit dislike, much less hatred. Wes and Nany is like Bananas and Sarah. They'll be fine.
I am surprised they couldn't get Avery and Reilly together.
Favorites have to be John and Sarah, Wes and Nany, Leroy and Averey (super contrived team, so it seems like Leroy is getting the producer's favorite benefit now), Jamie and Kelly Anne (another super contrived team), and that's really about it.

I think they saw the void LeRoy left when he was sent home so early… wouldn't be surprised if Bananas and some other long time players complained to the producers and told them to finally get Leroy a good partner.

Nia was a good partner, until she lost control of her emotions. And he was given a huge benefit at the end of Exes II with Theresa as his instant replacement.

I'd imagine there's no other way to breakup with someone like Jenna. She doesn't even know where Berlin is and is scared to drink a vanilla protein shake.
Can you imagine talking about something subjective like feelings with that chick? Pretty sure you just have to hit it and then disappear with that chick, for your own sanity atleast.
