Spoilers......

What did everyone think of the reveal of what was in the duffle bag? I am very intrigued in what happens in season 6 with Liz and her half sister trying to find out who the imposter really is, why he is pretending to be Raymond, how did the real Raymond die, etc.?

I stopped around season 3. Do we ever find out who her dad is?

Cab you catch us up. I bailed after season 3 also. Wasn't there a spin-off show, did it get cancelled?

Mr. Kaplan died by jumping off a bridge so Red couldn’t get her.

Red is Liz’s father.

Tom got killed by a guy named Ian Garvey and his crew.

Liz went on a rampage tracking down and killing anyone until she found who killed Tom.

Ian Garvey ended up being a U.S. Marshall.

On Liz’s quest to get answers from Ian Garvey, she comes across a girl who ends up being her half sister. Red is this girls father, but he abanded her and her mother a long time ago. Ian was protecting and watching out for this girl.

Ian, Red, Liz, and the half sister had a showdown at a bar and Red killed Ian. Before Ian died, he gave the duffel bag to a guy named Sutton Ross.

In the season 5 finale, Sutton Ross Found out the truth about the bones in the duffel bag. He told Liz everything and showed her the proof. One of the last scenes was Red saving Liz from Sutton and recovering his duffel bag. Red had no idea that it was a set up and Liz already knew what was in the duffel bag and Sutton told her everything. The bones in the duffel bag are the bones of the real Raymond Reddington. The last scene of the finale was Liz talking to the ghost of Tom at his grave and telling him how she managed to trick Red and how she vowed to find out who this guy pretending to be Red is, why he is doing it, how the real Raymond died, etc.

Not reading the thread because I haven't started season 5 yet. When would it come out on Netflix like the other seasons?

Red killed Ian

Liz killed Ian, not Red.

I haven't watched the show in years but wouldn't all that imply some high level government cover-up because I thought the entire intelligence community knew Red by sight and that (before the first episode) he was the most wanted man in the world or something.

I called it an episode or two back when my wife and I were watching. My guess is that some government agency like the CIA had Reddington killed and, rather than let his empire crumble and create a power vacuum, they placed their own double into his place to control things. At some point, the fake Red went rogue and felt for Reddington's family, so he set out to try and make things right by Liz. That my theory for how things play out.

Glad I bailed after S3, that sounds stupid.

A few episodes back my wife and I guessed that would be the contents. I think initially they were trying to make everyone think it had something to do with Liz's mom.

Looking back through the seasons, there were actually a lot of clues that he was not really RR. He wasn't lying when he told Liz he was not her father.
