The Alienist - Spoilers

What are your thoughts on The Alienist series? I've watched all 3 episodes. Seems fairly slow so far, but I'm a sucker for a good "who done it?". I'm not going to lie though, I was cringing pretty hard during episode 2. I was so uncomfortable that I almost cut that shite off. Not cool with the underage tranny brothel scenes.

I know its a part of the plot and all, but they're going to have to ease up on the ladyboy stuff. I saw the other thread after I posted mine, but no real substance in the posts.

Yeah ...my wife and I got through the first 2 episodes and once you get over the “oh cool it’s 1890” the rest is kind of dark and slow. The early forensics and work of the group is kind of cool but I was also turned off by the ending of episode 2. Yeah...bad things happen in the city....I get it.
