This looks like it could be a good series on TNT. Daniel Bruhl, Luke Evans, Dakota Fanning and Robert Wisdom are all well-accomplished actors and its setting in Victorian NYC in 1896 seems to be a good historical setting for a serial killer drama. Anyone else going to be tuning in?

Loved the book, been waiting fifteen years to see this. I wish it wasn’t on TNT, but the talent/creative team has me excited.

Remember really enjoying the book in junior high back when it was first released, but I will admit I’m not super pumped by the casting, specifically Dakota fanning. I was also under the impression that fukanaga was the driving force behind the entire series, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Will still give it a shot, but I’m less excited now after seeing some of the trailers than when I first heard this series was being made.

agreed 100%. Read the book about 20 years ago and have been waiting for an adaptation ever since.

Would have preferred hbo or showtime due to the grisly content, but I’ll take this. Actually happier that it’s a miniseries rather than a movie.

Not sure when I've ever been this bored during a TV show.

He hasn't been good and neither has his female assistant. Not sure why anyone would be bored with it though. So far, so good.

I’m only two episodes in and holy shite this is good. Like a turn of the century BAU from Criminal Minds meets Jack the Ripper.

Caught an episode while working at home one evening last week(I don't catch many original TV shows anymore) and it wasn't bad. Probably look for it again. Though I have to say, somebody with as round a face as Dakota Fanning shouldn't be wearing high stiff collars. It really wasn't flattering on her.
