So I did a 2nd watch of Children of Men, real good scifi, post apocalyptic movie and realized on his walk and stature that was Charlie Hunnam. Looked it up and sure enough. Jax Teller!

Sons of Anarchy started off pretty solidly. S2 is a fringe contender for one of (certainly not the, but a relative honorable mention) the better seasons of TV drama.
S3 gets some founded criticism, but it was still overall fine.
S4 went out swinging for the fences. INCREDIBLE intensity.
And it ended and resolved itself in the worst possible fashion.
S5 tried to salvage it, and it wasn't bad, but you couldn't help but feel that the thrill was already gone. By the final season, all that remained was a few solid scenes per episode that clued you in on its earlier potential - and thirty minutes of pure filler.
You get the feeling that Shawn Ryan had to rein in Kurt Sutter from doing to The Shield what he eventually did to his own SoA without any adult supervision.

McNulty was one of the worst characters on the show
SOA should be a good match for you.

SoA vs Dexter
Which one had a better finish?

Throughout its above average flirting with good
First couple seasons were great IMO but it does involve some suspension of reality
Imagine that from a fake tv show

Both terrible, but the terrible SoA ending was consistent with the terrible writing of the last couple seasons. The Dexter ending made me wish an old woman would jam a fork through my skull. ,
SoA can only be enjoyed if you view it as a live action comic book, where Hulk can smash buildings in the middle of Manhattan but none of that matters when the next issue comes out.
