The Office
The first season wasn't great.

Parks has to be near the top of the list. I hated the show first season but somehow I love it now and even like the first season.
Season 2 of Archer was better than an already great season 1.
Lost kicked it up a notch after the first season. Heck some of the first season episodes reminded me of saturday morning tv from the 70s with Hurley and Charlie being chased by bees.
West Wing got better over time but it also might be that I was biased by politics initially and eventually warmed to the cast. I'm one of the few that didn't feel there was a drop in quality when Sorkin left and I actually wanted a Santos season.

I'd say all in all Season 1 was probably my favorite season of LOST, solely because how they introduced the characters to you. It was simple and before the shite really hit the fan.

Dude, I thoroughly enjoyed E-Rock owning Sam yesterday at Hard Rock.
Opie retweeted me yesterday when I commented on him sounding like a proud father after E's set. You can tell Ope wants that dude to kick Sam in the balls some more.

CHEERS - Not sure if better is applicable bc it was a top show in its prime, but re-watching it now and it is outstanding!

How in the hell can anyone say South Park? The first 4 seasons were the best by far!

The first 2 seasons are just fart humor and they are pretty horrible on rewatches. 5-11 is the peak of South Park.

True, but the caveat is that it was great to begin with.
I don't think it was anywhere near great to begin with. Part of it had to do with the short first season, but it was solid that first year and that's about it. It stepped up its game Season 2 into the "very good" category, then blew everyone out of the water in Season 3, which might be the single best season of television I've ever seen.

The English Top Gear. Well and hopefully the American version also

Scrubs started good but it got better as the characters developed and became more rounded.

Family Guy... sort of. It got really good during the mid 2000's but the last couple of seasons have been dreadful.

Most. I would say the majority of shows I love, when I see an episode from the 1st season, it seems mostly quaint.

South Park has become vastly more intelligent over time. It's hard to watch early seasons now.

Nah. 1st episode might be the greatest debut of all time.
