Saw it this week. It was funny, just not as funny as some have made it out to be. I'd give it 7/10 and would put it slightly below 21 Jump Street.

However, the scene with Nora Jones was hysterical.

I still don't see how people think this is a live version of Family Guy. Aside from the voice, which is the obvious thing, I didn't feel at all like I was watching anything related to FG.

I also can't see how someone could say they only laughed a couple times. To each his own I guess.

I agree, if you thought the movie was like FG, you went in with the preconceived notion because of the producer. Aside from a few obvious jabs at the show, it wasnt anything like it. Great comedy 8/10

The end got a little too serious and dragged. But it was a pretty good flick. I was in the theatre with SEVERAL children, some in the 4-7 y/o range and just felt sorry for society as a whole., The mom couldnt even finish the movie without having to go and choke down a couple cigs.

Oh, and dem titties

It was a different experience for me. I laughed a lot, but still walked away thinking it wasn't that great of a movie. It's a renter for me. Waste of money in theaters.

Recycled "been there, done that" Apatow-like stoner, arrested development raunch and gross out comedy. With the teddy bear filling in as the usual Seth Rogen role...and Mila Kunis (well playing the Mila Kunis role) - which is why Wahlberg sticks out like a sore thumb as the lead...terribly miscast...but who really cares?

We've all been down this road of middle-aged child can't commit to his girlfriend because he can't grow up...and it's never more obvious than showing he can't grow up by having his best friend be a giant foul mouthed teddy bear.

There were a few cutaways ala Family Guy - those were the best bits and you sort of wish the movie went in that direction.

I'm just completely over this arrested development stoner/party dude with the most understanding woman in the world storyline.

Complete rental or free on TV. Something to pass the time on a plane/train.

Fair review. IMO, that is comedy right now. That's what we get. There were some laughs, though.

I went to see this movie for the laugh, which it provided. It was worth my 5 bucks at the early showing.

I don't think this is what the movie was about at all. It was a plot device used to test the friendship of Ted and John, and John never failed his friend. This movie is about true friendship, the love story is just the catalyst to test that friendship. THUNDER BUDDIES FOREVER

I don't like Family Guy but I thought was pretty damn funny. It's also not overly sappy and is pretty well done.

Saw Ted last night. Pretty funny. It's not like Family Guy, other than you can notice the similarities in the jokes/type of humor.

My wife and I thought the same thing. We felt more connected to Ted and John and hoped for their reunion more than we did with John and Mila.
