Tribals have been some of the most entertaining I've ever seen.

But most of the better strategist got voted out early and the funny part was it wasn't because they were threats it was dumb luck like with dual tribals and such after the merge. Or screwing up the island of the idols gimmick which has largely fell flat.

Chelsea went home with an idol.

Vince went home with an idol.

Kellee went home with two.

Jamal wasted one.

Lauren wasted one.

Elaine wasted one.

Basically Dean (from Kellee) and Stabbyhands are the only two to play an idol well?

And i would guess that at some point each one said something like "i don't want to be the idiot who goes home with an idol".

Are we sure Noura is all female?

I actually mentioned that to my wife last night that her shoulders are broader than her hips. most likely started life as a guy. The voice sounds like a nagging chick though.

ETA: stabby's husband seemed a lot older than her. Arraigned marriage?

Earlier in the season, she mentioned that she was in an arranged marriage. It sounded like she resisted it until she hit a certain age and then relented to her parents’ wishes.

But in this wek’s episode, she was babbling and blubbering about how her husband chose her and she would love him forever for it. It was creepy because she sounded like she was a stray at the shelter that got adopted. She’s a mess.

So let's talk a little Seasons 40 & 41.

Season 40 is confirmed to be all winners... rumored title is "Winners At War" and the contestant list has been leaked. I haven't seen any spoilers (and don't want to) about gameplay or winners. Premiere is supposed to be Feb. 12th.

Season 41 is supposedly going to be Blood vs. Water 3... I thought the first Blood vs. Water where they brought returning contestants on with their loved ones on opposite tribes, with a redemption island twise, was one of the best seasons ever. Blood vs. Water 2 with all new contestants wasn't quite as good, but still better than some recent seasons.

Winners IN for Season 40:

Ethan Zohn, 45, Survivor Africa (season 3, 2001)
Sandra Diaz-Twine, 44, Survivor Pearl Islands (season 7, 2003, and Survivor Heroes vs. Villains (season 20, 2010)
Amber Brkich Mariano, 40, Survivor All-Stars (season 8, 2004)
Danni Boatwright, 43, Survivor Guatemala (season 11, 2005)
Yul Kwon, 44, Survivor Cook Islands (season 13, 2006)
Parvati Shallow, 36, Survivor Micronesia (season 16, 2008)
Rob Mariano, 43, Survivor Redemption Island (season 22, 2011)
Sophie Clarke, 29, Survivor South Pacific (season 23, 2011)
Kim Spradlin, 36, Survivor One World (season 24, 2012)
Denise Stapley, 48, Survivor Philippines (season 25, 2012)
Tyson Apostol, 39, Survivor Blood vs. Water (season 27, 2013)
Tony Vlachos, 45, Survivor Cagayan (season 28, 2014)
Natalie Anderson, 33, Survivor San Juan Del Sur (season 29, 2014)
Jeremy Collins, 41, Survivor Cambodia (season 31, 2015)
Michele Fitzgerald, 29, Survivor Kaôh Rong (season 32, 2016)
Adam Klein, 28, Survivor Millennials vs. Gen. X (season 33, 2016)
Sarah Lacina, 35, Survivor: Game Changers (season 34, 2017)
Ben Driebergen, 36, Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers (season 35, 2017)
Wendell Holland, 35, Survivor: Ghost Island (season 36, 2018)
Nick Wilson, 28, Survivor David vs. Goliath (season 37, 2018)

So, winners OUT:
Richard, Season 1
Tina, Season 2
Vecepia, Season 4
Brian, Season 5
Jenna, Season 6
Chris, Season 9
Tom, Season 10
Aras, Season 12
Earl, Season 14
Todd, Season 15
Bob, Season 17
JT, Season 18
Natalie, Season 19
Fabio, Season 21
Cochran, Season 26
Mike, Season 30
Chris, Season 38
TBD, Season 39

Definitely a few heavy hitters that didn't come back, and a few winners in that I barely remember, but that should be a great season. 10/14 female winners are coming back, so keeping the ratio of men to women seems to have cost us some quality male winners. I'd have loved to see Tom, JT, Earl, Aras, and Cochran back it.

Yeah this will be very interesting.

I thought it was kind of a weird play by Dean, but it will be fun seeing it play out.

Tommy is such a flip flopper though it may just pay off.

Nothing wrong with Danni or Kim either.

And Amber was hot back in the day, but 4 kids and however many years living with Boston Rob later... I guess we'll see...

Too bad Jenna isn't coming back. In addition to the eye candy it would have been an interesting dynamic between her and Ethan.

I also liked Mike from season 30 he played one of the best games Ive ever seen he was the vote from 7 players left to the end but kept winning and finding idols and they couldn't get him out.

I lost interest a few weeks ago. I have all of the episodes recorded, but I haven't been motivated to watch them. Is it worth my time, or should I just wait until next season to start watching again?

Ethan - I thought he had some terminal cancer years ago so it’s great to see I was wrong.

Danni - Worked in sports media and was the only person who recognized fellow contestant Gary Hogeboom.

Jenna - She gave up, quit the game, sat in the shelter and won because of a butthurt jury.

Parvati - Oh good! A girl alliance.

I think it was probably his best play. He obviously didn't want to work with Noura. He flat out told her he didn't trust her. So he took an opportunity to see if he could blow up her game, and it was successful. Now Tommy feels somewhat indebted to him and Noura has a target on her back.

His other option was putting his faith in Noura, and voting to evict Tommy. If she flips on that plan, he now has a huge target on his back. If she doesn't and Tommy goes home, he's stuck working with Noura for at least another week.

Definitely his best play, you can't work with someone as crazy and flaky as Noura.
