They used to do the mirror thing and show before and Afters.
Starving them was at least 1/3 of the struggle with playing the game. Food/elements/gameplay
Now I guess it's considered fat shaming.

Remember seasons 1 and 2 ?
Season 1 they ate rats.
Season 2 the seemed to be legit starving.
Those seasons were awesome.
They put them in some pretty extreme conditions.

my one question is, how are these people still fat?
I actually looked at Elaine and she has lost some weight. She was really tubby at the beginning but like others have said, they get more food now.

It added value to her nieces and kids, as she said. I don't necessarily agree or disagree with her on it, but there was no real harm in trying to elevate black players for her younger family members.
Okay. Didn't know that black people weren't as capable as others to win immunity. That's how it sounded.
You're right though, no real harm in it.

She sucks at any challenge, a win by her would have to be celebrated! Maybe even dedicate an entire episode to it

Season 3 in Africa was probably the most brutal.
Big Tom lost 80 pounds in 37 days.

Africa was probably when the Survivor people were like "woah, maybe we've gone a little overboard."

Yeah, pretty crappy to throw them in a location with no resources at all. At least none that they could really take advantage of.
They were drinking water from right next to elephant shite.

Wasn’t there a lion nearby at night or something at one point??
I’ve told this story here before, but I met Silas at a club he was working at in L.A. not long after that season. Said the conditions were insane.
He also got screwed by the first ever tribe swap. Needless to say he was not a big fan of Probst

More than once.
They were given rudimentary shelter at least, basically a ring fort of sticks and such to keep wild animals at bay.

Yeah, the young crew was ready to take over at that point. It would definitely suck to be in a good position in the game and have an unexpected twist totally screw you over.

SJW's are insane! Don't look at or treat us differently. but let me point out this monumental time when we were different and things were so great.
*Sounds better when you say it in your whiny voice!

I really think they are the bad guys in all of this, and Kelli should be the one to call them out for taking advantage of what was a genuinely upsetting experience for her. That type of abuse of the power of allegation is what makes it harder for actual victims to come forward and like I said, it’s is victimizing her a second and likely more damaging time.
And Jamal banging the drum for always believing women when they were lying is just plain funny and needs to get a mention when this is all discussed at live finale
I just caught up but that was the weirdest sequence of episodes I have ever seen on survivor and that is hard to do on this show.
Its like CBS wanted to put a sledgehammer to the #metoo movement. Missy may have come up with the plan to blind side Kellee with touchie Dan but Liz completely weaponized it when she lied to Janet's face to vote Dan.
Dan knowing exactly what the girls did was still all in with the girl camp even after the so called CBS meeting and that bizarre tribal with Kellee in the jury.
Then touchie Dan, the LA talent scout, who probably has no conscious awareness of boundaries as no person(whether young girl or teenage boy) seeking fame and fortune would tell him "NO". Then at the end of self indignation speech hides behind his wife and children. And then can't wait for Jeff to move on and get the game going.
But that is just bizarro to me after being accused of basic sexual harrassment on one of the most popular Network TV shows in history.
This whole season so far has been hot garbage yet like a good train wreck I just can't turn away.

Anyone ever look at Survivor Reddit? Talk about a bunch of morons. They're literally rooting for Karishma as one of their favs. And they're still melting over Dan. If you don't watch the show you'd think by Reddit's reaction that Dan just committed a bunch of crimes that should put him away for life in prison.

She has zero chance of winning the game and sure as hell doesn't deserve to go to the end but at least she used her damn immunity idol unlike the other morons who left with them in their pockets
