I think Kyle threw Sam a vote just so Sue wouldn't be tied for 2nd.

Rachel had a dominate season. Sam gave it a hell of an effort at final tribals. He just had too much ground to make up.

I admitted this to myself as Sam fell further and further behind in fire making and realized he wouldn’t make Final TC.
Until he did, at which point he convinced me he played a great game. LOL!
It was a good season but I don’t have any desire to see Rachel on an all-star season.

Yeah, he gave it everything at FTC but Rachel had the way better resume. It doesn't matter where you find an idol or advantage, she got them and used them well on top of the 4 immunity wins.
Kyle's vote was stupid, not a good reason at all.
ETA: The wind really screwed Teeny on the fire challenge. Couldn't believe Sam came back and won it.

I’m incredulous that people still go on Survivor not knowing how to make fire. Sam’s only path to victory was winning final immunity, and beating Rachel in fire.

This was the weakest cast I can remember. Rachel won bc everyone else was simply awful. Sam should be embarassed and have his man card revoked. Still enjoy the show but wish they'd go back to the days when the cast was attractive, athletic, and mean, instead of a bunch of liberal nerds.

If I ever had a shot to be on there, I would practice making it so much that I could do it blindfolded. They played that up pretty well and definitely had to be divine intervention.

Did Sam win an individual immunity? It was frustrating that so many of the challenges had a puzzle at the end and everyone but Rachel seemed incapable of putting a puzzle together.
Sam is a sports broadcaster, I think, so he was comfortable speaking to the jury and made the best case he could given his limited resume. I think he “won” final TC but Rachel had done so much more, it didn’t matter.
Sue’s pitch of “I’m old and kicked your butts! Vote for me” didn’t really resonate.
Teeny earned back some respect when she talked about her feud with Sam but admitted it was mostly from her side and she owned her negative stereotyping of Sam when he seemed like just a normal guy.

The cast was fine. Rachel, Caroline, Genevieve, Andy and to a lesser extent Sam were all very legit players. Forgot about Sierra she was good too. It's just unfortunate that Teeny and Sue were so bad that they ruined the ending.
I mean everyone I just listed other than Teeny and Sue fit the bill of decently attractive and athletic.

I got a chance to listen to the Probst podcast and Rachel was interviewed. Rachel was an alternate for Season 46 so she spent a week at Ponderosa with the Season 46 players in Fiji before the season started. They said everyone goes by their initials, not their names and Rachel wrote extensive notes on everyone in a notebook at night.

Because he couldn't beat Rachel? Because Rachel was a woman? Why should he have his man card revoked. Rachel was a better player in every way. Sam played from the bottom. Sam couldn't solve a puzzle to save his life. Although Teeny was not a good player, she was right that Sam was used to being the guy that things come pretty easy for and thought it would be the same on Survivor. He just was not that good.
I don't care if people are attractive. I do like have a range of ages. I really don't care what the cast is made of up (nerd, races, genders, etc). I mostly just want them to play the game. I want some of them to be great competitors at challenges. Jeff is constantly saying he wants "interesting people" with "interesting stories." I do not care about the people or their stories. Just play the damn game. Don't sit around camp. Do something.
